Disney Dreamlight Valley Poor Prince in Distress - Make Gazpacho, Berry Salad & Vegetable Stew - Game Guide

 You can unlock Erik in Disney Dreamlight Valley via the quest "Poor Prince in Distress" and have to prepare gazpacho, berry salad, and vegetable stew, among other things. At this point, we'll walk you through all the steps of Erik's quest so you can welcome him as a new resident.

Start Poor Prince in Distress

In order for you to be able to start Erik's quest at all, you must first have completed Ursula's last quest "A Deal with Ursula". At the end of this mission, you will receive the item "Poor Erik in Need". Give this to Ariel, who in turn will send you to Merlin to find a way to turn Erik back.

Merlin tells you that you must first place Erik's castle in the village. You must also find an item that Erik cares about and Ariel must call Erik's name so that Merlin's remorph spell can be cast.

Place Eric's lock

The first step is easy. Select Erik's castle from the furniture menu and place it anywhere in the village. Then interact with Scrooge's shield by the castle and pay 10,000 coins to build the castle. 

Find Eric's flute

Then enter the castle directly and look at the table in front of you. Here lies Erik's flute, which you must pick up.

Bring the flute to Arielle, who will then summon Erik to the village. Talk to Erik and welcome him. Next, you should cook him the following three recipes :

• Gazpacho soup
• vegetable stew
• berry salad

Prepare gazpacho

For gazpacho you need the following 4 ingredients:

• cucumber
• tomato
• Onion
• Any spice (garlic, mint, oregano, basil, or ginger)

Prepare vegetable stew

For vegetable stew you need the following 3 ingredients:

• Potato
• carrot
• Onion

Prepare berry salad

For berry salad you need the following 3 ingredients:

• raspberry
• blueberry
• gooseberry

Have you given Erik all three dishes, follow him to Arielle and witness their reunion. If Erik doesn't move to Arielle, fast travel, or reload the last save, he should run to her. Then after the reunion, talk to Erik to complete the quest.
