Disney Dreamlight Valley Remove Stumps (Unlock Shovel Upgrade) - Game Guide

 From the start of the game, you will stumble across many a stump in Disney Dreamlight Valley that you cannot remove because you are missing a specific shovel upgrade. At this point, we will show you how to get this upgrade and how to remove tree stumps.

How to remove tree stumps

At the beginning of the game, you will already discover many ugly tree stumps on the main square that you cannot remove with your starting tools. They also block certain areas or bridge access in the game's various biomes. In order to remove a tree stump, you need a specific upgrade for your shovel, which you only unlock when you have completed friendship tasks from certain characters.

If you want to get the shovel upgrade as soon as possible, you should save up to 7,000 Dreamlight. Use 3,000 Dreamlight to unlock the Forest of Valor biome east of the main square. You need the other 4,000 to unlock the portal to the kingdom "Frozen - Completely Unabashed" in the dream castle. It is located in the middle of the first floor of the castle.

Behind the portal, you will meet Anna and Elsa. Complete her missions so that Anna finally gets to Dreamlight Valley. Here you have to improve your friendship to level 2. Have a daily conversation with her and give her a gift that she likes to increase her friendship with her. After that, you will receive the friendship task "A Frozen Invitation" from her. During this mission, you will unlock the shovel upgrade.

Craft Shovel Blade Upgrade

During the mission, Anna will guide you to the bridge in the Forest of Valor, which is blocked by tree stumps. She will point you to the shovel upgrade that you can craft after giving her the Mysterious Flora & Fauna book. You can find it to the east inside Anna's house on a table. After giving it to Anna, you now need to collect the materials for the upgrade. It refers to:

• 10x Softwood: Found on the ground near trees in all regions.
• 4x Hardwood: Found on the ground near trees in all regions (except Main Square and Peaceful Meadow).
• 4x Iron Ingots: First, collect 20x Iron Ore from mineral deposits in all regions (except Main Square and Peaceful Meadow). You can process these into 4x iron bars at a workbench.
• 3x Crafting Parts: First, collect 10x Iron Ore from mineral deposits in all regions (except Main Square and Peaceful Meadow). You can process these into 2x iron ingots at a workbench. This in turn you need for the production of 3x parts for handicrafts.

Once you have all the materials together, you can make the shovel blade at the workbench. Then use the item from your backpack to upgrade the shovel. From now on you can remove all tree stumps in the game and clear blocked paths. Each removed tree stump also rewards you with massive amounts of softwood and hardwood.
