Steelrising is a new souls-like project from the creators of GreedFall. Players will have to immerse themselves in the history of the Aegis automaton, which, in the service of the queen, must save the country from the destruction of civilians. In this guide, we will detail the passage of Steelrising and indicate the location of the most important items.


Please note that almost every enemy drops alchemy capsules, so we will not mark them in our guide. All locations are linear, with a careful study of the territory, players should not have problems finding the items indicated in the material. Different types of bombs, grenades, and vials of ordinary oil are sold in the store.


Also, additional tasks require the player to constantly move from one location to another, and in the process of completing one mission, there may be a suitable item for another nearby. That is why we will highlight additional missions in the overall story and mark the items from such tasks with the corresponding quest name.


Don't forget to break barrels and knock down hanging bags - useful artifacts can be hidden in them. All types of items that allow you to increase the amount of experience earned are marked with one word - essence. This will make it easier to find similar materials in the passage.


Saint Cloud Castle. How to upgrade the Aegis and where to find useful items

After the introductory video, we choose the appearance of the Aegis and the class. At the end of the cut scene, we will find ourselves on the street near the castle of Saint-Cloud.

We defeat the enemies, climb onto the ledge and again kill the automatons in the large courtyard. We move to the left to the metal door.

We defeat the enemy and get a rusty key. At the dead end on the left, we find the essence.

We open the gate and pass into the gardens.

We move in a straight line and activate the vestal. With this device, players can buy items, upgrade weapons, change outfits, and upgrade the Aegis. Depending on the combat style, players can choose the ones that suit their characteristics and level up the character with the help of experience gained for killing enemies and activating essences.

The maximum attribute level is 20. We chose the path of dexterity, endurance, and strength, so we mainly upgraded only these parameters. In our assembly, a lot of emphasis is placed on dexterity, and the rest of the parameters were chosen as desired. By the end of the game we had the following characteristics:

  3. Durability - 10.
  4. Engineering - 3.
  5. Elemental Alchemy - 0.

After applying the vestal, we carefully go down and silently kill the enemy. Please note that sleeping opponents can be hit from the back and finished off with lightning speed. A sneak strike is activated when the target marker turns red.

We do not pay attention to the dilapidated wall with a green metal object - you can break it much later after receiving a special tool.

We move forward and go out to a large alley. On the right, open the chest and get "Durability Module I". There are three levels of modules in the game - I, II, and III. The higher their level, the more the characteristics of the Aegis increase.

We go further and find the area with the boss. Such areas are covered with blue fog. We pick up the bloodied note and fight the first serious opponent.

How to defeat bosses

Many players may think that the first opponent is very difficult, but this is not entirely true. Thanks to the special timings and specific strikes of automatons, fights with them are a little slower than in Elden Ring and other similar projects. In the process of striking, you cannot instantly dodge the enemy’s throw, so you need to make several accurate attacks, release the attack button so that the Aegis leaves the battle, and activate the rebound key.

This principle of combat will suit any opponent. It is enough to study his main attacks and try to dodge behind the back of the enemy. In addition, when filling a diamond-shaped target mark, the effect of paralysis accumulates. At its maximum value, enemies will be stunned for a short period of time and Aegis will be able to deliver several accurate blows and carry out a powerful attack.

Many bosses are killed on the first try, even without excessive character pumping. It is enough to destroy each automaton on the way to a powerful enemy in order to get the necessary amount of experience for pumping the hero. Also note that depending on the weapon, the player can use a shield, a counterattack, or a powerful strike. Later, in the first location, we will find a weapon with which we will go through the whole game without much difficulty.

How to defeat the Unstable Spearman boss

At first, this powerful automaton uses spear attacks and area-of-effect strikes. Each hit can be dodged to the side. We inflict one or three blows and immediately dodge to the side. Later, the enemy will be able to combine attacks and speed up attacks a little. We use exactly the same tactics. One-two hits, dodge, and repeated attacks. If we do this with some frequency, we can put the enemy into a state of paralysis and unhindered inflict a large amount of damage. For defeating the enemy, we will receive the key to the module.

Saint Cloud Castle. How to find the Lavoisier Catalyst and find the Charleville 1789 Musket Shield and Falchion and Saber weapons

We activate the vestal, open the cell for the second module and pump the Aegis. We jump over the fence along the fallen tree, open the box and find the Charleville 1789 musket shield. We recommend using it in the first locations.

We pass over the bridge and reach the stairs with a fountain. After the destruction of the enemies, we open another box and find the items "Muskaden bicorne" and "Muskaden suit".

We go up the stairs and near the destroyed building in the box we find "Claws of Nemesis" and a compass. Be sure to transfer the second item to the quick access cell. With it, the player will be able to activate a marker that will tell you the approximate direction of the path - a yellow flag for story missions and a human head for additional tasks.

We climb the building and on the second level of the wooden scaffolding, we find an appeal to the workers. We jump down from the ledge down and activate the vestal. From the vestal, we follow on the right side and at the broken automaton we find the key to the module.


We go down below, but do not jump over the fence along the mark, but go left. We rise to a small building and in the box, we find weapons "Falchion and saber". With these dual blades, we went through the whole game without any problems. Gradually, they can be upgraded to level 5. Other types of weapons have not been tested for a long time, so we cannot recommend hammers, fans, and other weapons, however, with a similar style of play on evasions, it is better to use a falchion and a saber in a set with a musket shield.

From the box, we move up the path and near the well, we open another chest. Hidden inside is Lavoisier's catalyst, with which Aegis will increase the number of oilers in the set. We return to the opening in the fence. We jump over the platforms to the pier and meet with another boss.

How to defeat the Unstable Electric Ram boss

The easiest way to defeat this boss is to use the musket shield. We shoot several times in a row and freeze the enemy. As soon as it freezes for a while, we run up and carry out several successful attacks. You can use the falchion and saber special move to make a powerful attack. We repeat this process until we defeat the enemy. The enemy uses powerful blows in a column in battle and hits the ground with a massive defeat in front of him. At the last stage, lightning bolts are added to the attacks, which deal additional damage. For defeating the enemy, we will receive the “Continuous Loading Module II” and the key to the module.

In the barrels to the right of the boat, we find the essence of a small soul and activate the "Go to Paris" button next to the water transport. After a short cutscene, we will find ourselves in a new region.

From the shore we move along the path and activate the vestal. From it we move a little forward and jump over the fence to the right. Raise a flask of water. We follow the road above and near the fork around the corner of the left house we find the essence. We go along the road and do not turn off the mark to the building on the left.

We leave the corner to the right and move along the road. We take the essence and bronze ingot. We talk with the girl through the door and fulfill her request - we give a flask of water. We return in the opposite direction, open the door and go to the building we passed by earlier. We follow the road and come to a fork.

We turn left to the opponents and go to the right side. We turn into a small alley and open the chest. Inside we find "Critical Repair Module I" and cast iron. We return to automatons.

After the victory, we open another vault and take out the "Fiery Flail" and a bronze ingot. I'm heading towards the fire.

We climb the stairs, kill the enemies and move to the locked door to the left. We take the essence on the corner of the building, open a fast passage to the vestal and find another essence on the human body.

Behind a large fire at the wooden gate, we raise the essence.

We follow the stairs and use the cart to jump onto the balcony.

Inside the room, we pick up the items "Muscaden culottes" and "Muscaden shoes and leggings".

We exit from the other side. We go down and move along the path. At the well, we find another essence. We move on. We climb the stairs to the enemy, jump down and pick up the essence. We go on the right side.

Near the locked gate we will find one more essence.

After the destruction of two automatons with hammers near the central house, we take the key to the module. We go out onto the road and go left to open a fast passage to a safe point. We return back and move along the right road to the locked gate. We turn left into the bushes and jump over the wooden bridge over the fence.

Immediately open the door on the right and go along the right side of the alley.

We pick up the essence on the carriage and pass into the large building through the main entrance.

We open the chest on the first floor and get the items Diana's Short Pants and Diana's Boots and Gaiters.

On the table at the exit, we study the complaint from the workers of the workshop, get the key to the plant and go outside. The lift mechanism is broken, so you have to go to the factory and find the part. Activate vestal.

To the left of the safe point, open the gate and go to the factories. From the nearest wooden building with the enemy, we turn into the building to the right. We move inside in a straight line and rise to the second floor.

To the left behind the enemy in barrels we find essence.

On the third floor, open the chest and pick up the "Ability Duration Module I" and the key to the module. We return to the second floor, exit to the balcony, and jump over the flooring and platforms into the building on the left.

We go down to the first floor. In the chest, we find the items "Diana's Hat" and "Diana's Redingote".


Please note that we have prioritized armor with the best armor stats. For most of the game, Diana's set (jacket, pants, and shoes) was used, and a Muscaden bicorne was worn on her head.

Use the door on the left to open the fast track. We turn in the opposite direction and climb the stairs to the second floor. We are afraid of two barrels - opponents are hidden behind them. We jump out the window and move to the left. Open the box and get the Lavoisier amplifier. With it, the hero will be able to increase the efficiency of oilers. Open the fast way with the help of the door.

We go in the opposite direction, climb the stairs and open another door. Behind it we find the essence. We return back and use the wooden platforms in the air to get over to the long bridge. We move from the platform to the left and go down to the lower floor of the building. In the chest, we find the "Vengeance Wheel". We return back. At the edge of the bridge, we can jump onto the metal scaffolding for the essence. We go down even lower. We rise along the stairs to the left of the bridge and go into the next building. On the third floor, behind the stairs behind the barrels, we pick up the essence. We pass forward and jump into the arena to the boss.

How to defeat the Unstable Gunsmith boss

Like the previous boss, this enemy is vulnerable to cold. We use a shield-musket and after freezing the enemy we inflict several accurate blows. We repeat until we win. The enemy uses piercing and sweeping blows with a spear, and can also run after Aegis at speed. In this case, you will have to dodge from side to side. For defeating the boss, we will receive the “Death Fury Module I” and the key to the module.

House of the disabled. How to fix a lift

After killing the enemy, we activate the vestal. We open the door and take the essence from the body. We return back, move to the left of the vestal and climb the stairs to the second floor of the building. From the back of the stairs we pick up the account book from the foundry. We are moving forward. We go down the stairs outside and go right.

On a narrow road, we go out to the mechanism. We fix it, activate it, and jump over to the next building. We go in a straight line and do not jump to a safe point.

On this floor, around the corner near the body of the automaton, we will find Paralysis Module I. We break the bag at the cliff, take the essence, and activate the lift.

We climb onto the second floor and get acquainted with La Fayette. We use all available replicas and get the key to the carriage. From now on, Aegis will be able to move from one location to another. We look at the house. We immediately move to the left and pick up a note from Monsieur de Vaucanson addressed to the king. At the opposite wall on the table, we find the note of the king.

On the floor below, at the stairs, we study a note from Gedon and approach the table opposite to pick up the dancer's shoes and see Aegis's memories. We get out into the street, activate the carriage, and move to one of the available locations. We first went to the Tuileries.

From the bridge, we move to the right and go down the stairs.

In the boat, we pick up the essence and move along the coast to the right.

Open the chest and find "Lightning resistance module II". It is recommended to install this Aegis upgrade, as most of the enemies in the location use lightning bolt attacks. We return back to the bridge and go up the stairs to a small maze. We rise to the left and take the essence near the fountain.

We go down to the central section and after defeating the enemies we turn right into a small area with a chest. Inside we find "Module of alchemical shields I". We go to the left and take the essence from the statue. We go out onto a wide road and near the gate we turn into the next large section of the labyrinth.

We defeat all enemies and in the far left dead-end zone from the chest, we get the key to the module. At the end of the labyrinth, we go up to the Louvre quarter and activate the vestal. We go down. To the left of the enemy, we will find the essence. We move into a narrow opening to the right.

After defeating the enemy, we climb the stairs to the right and jump onto the platform above, where we will find another essence. We go back, go through another narrow opening and defeat the dogs. We move to the right and in the alley, we take the essence. We leave on the big road with carriages, and we defeat three opponents.

We can talk to the men near the door with a red-white-blue mark. They will ask to bring medical instruments, which we will receive later.

From the door, we leave into the opening and on the platforms, we jump onto the balcony. We leave from the other side, defeat three enemies and open the box, which is located behind the right shooter. Inside we find the catalyst Lavoisier.

We can go to the left lane, defeat the spearman and pick up the cast iron.

From the location of the shooters, we rise even higher and activate the vestal.

We follow the stairs and pass into Mirabeau's house. We use all available dialogue options and get the key of the housekeeper and new information (additional quest "Difficult situation"). After meeting with the man, the main task will send Aegis to the Luxembourg Palace, however, in order to gain experience and complete additional quests, we will clear the current location and go to Sit.

We take the crumpled letter from the table, go outside and follow it to the backyard. In the chest, we find the weapon "Leda's Halberd". We return to the vestal and open the golden gate. We go forward and on the right, we take the essence. Continue down the road and turn left. We defeat a powerful enemy, go out to a small alley and take an appeal to Monsieur Balsamo on the left. We are moving forward. Around the corner on the left, we find the essence and through a small arch, we pass to the spearman.

After defeating the enemy to the left of the stairs, open the chest and pick up the Nemesis Fan weapon. Along the alley, we go out onto a wide street with destroyed carriages. At the fence on the left, we take away the essence and go straight.

We turn into a small nook on the left and take out the “Length Module II” from the chest.

Nearby we use metal scaffolding and climb into the apartment on the platforms.


In the corner of the room, we find a portrait with coal and watch a shortcut scene. Exit to the other side and move to the left. Opposite the entrance to a small labyrinth in front of a large mansion near the wall, we take the essence.

We go inside the garden and activate the vestal. Here lies another essence. We pass further through the garden and defeat all enemies.

In the right section of the garden, we climb onto the ledge and study the equatorial ring near the barrier.

In a small section on the left of the dead automaton, we find "Alchemy long exposure module III". We do not go into the building on the right side and follow the left first to open a short path to the mansion. Take the essence on the left in the corner. We go inside the building. In the large gallery on the ground floor, you will have to fight the boss.

How to defeat the Unstable Ram Statue Boss

This boss is assisted by two weak automatons. First of all, it is desirable to kill them. A powerful opponent uses the column as a weapon, constantly swinging it from side to side and hitting the ground with an area attack. Almost all tricks can hook the Aegis from any direction. We always try to hit the enemy from the back and move away from him. We dodge attacks to the left side and are close to the enemy during his attack. For the victory, we will receive the "Module of the will to live II" and the key to the module.

Tuileries. How to advance in the quest "A difficult situation", find new clothes, and get to the giant

We go out to the embankment and activate the vestal.

To the left of it, we find a note signed by the artist David.

Next to the building, we open the chest and pick up "Sticks of the great hunter" and "Boots and leggings of the great hunter".

We go down the stairs to the water and find the key to the module in the chest on the left pier. On the way, beware of the hidden enemy. We dismantle the wooden fence and find the essence in the underground tunnel. We return to the top. On the platforms from above, we take cast iron and essence. We go inside the building. We move to the right and rise to the second floor. We follow further and climb to the third floor, where we will find a message from the Count of Provence (additional quest "Difficult situation").

Here on the floor, we study the decree addressed to Monsieur Bailly. We go out into the corridor and on the right at a dead end we take the essence. We go down the stairs, open a short path and at the end of the corridor, we find a pocket telescope. We watch the cut-scene.

We jump out on the wooden bridge. On the platform above we take the essence. In a straight line, we rest against the golden door and open a short passage with it. We leave to the side of the gallery. On the left side of the street, we pick up the essence and follow back. In the corner of the building, we find an opening and climb inside. We climb the stairs to the second floor and slide down through the hole in the floor into the courtyard to a powerful enemy.

How to defeat the giant boss Louvre Selenite

The first formidable opponent with a lot of health and powerful attacks. In most cases, the boss uses sweeping circular attacks with a sickle and shield. The boss can also launch projectiles from a distance and charge a powerful circular attack with a final blow to the ground. Always keep behind the enemy, spend a few tricks and dodge to the left. With powerful blows, we run back to the side. We can use long-range weapons to freeze the enemy, but it will take a lot of alchemy capsules.

After a while, the giant will set fire to the shield, and at the last stage, charge the sickle with lightning. Most of the attacks are repeatable, so with the right timing, the player will have no problem taking down the boss. After the victory, Aegis will free Bayi and gain a Selenite impulse, which will allow the heroine to dash forward on the ground and in the air. This will help you jump over previously closed obstacles and get to new areas in the location.

We use all the available remarks in the conversation and complete the "Difficult situation". Another task "Shadows of the Luxembourg Palace" is activated. Now the player needs to get to the carriage. We activate the mechanism and return to the vestal. We use wooden platforms and take them to the apartments in the Louvre. Here we go out to the balcony and jump over the platforms. Use a compass as a guide.

We jump on the platforms and get to the mechanism that will open a short path to the carriage. Here we can go into a large gallery, defeat a large enemy, get iron from him and open a short path.

On the second floor, we pick up the essence. We return to the carriage and go to Sit.

Site. How to find modules, collect essence and get to the boss

We have now arrived at this location to level up and complete the additional task “In Search of Abbé Gregoire”. We move straight and on the carriage, we climb onto the platform above. We raise the essence. We turn into the square. We go on the right side and go behind the wooden fences.

At the dead end, we find a bronze ingot.

From the north side of the fountain, we study the leaflet. In the left corner of the square, we knock down the bag and get the essence.

Here we open a short path with the help of the door.

From the entrance to the square, we move to the right side.

We defeat the enemies and open another shortcut. We go into a narrow dead-end alley, kill the enemy and take the essence. We return to the well.

We climb to the left along the platforms up and get acquainted with Raymond. After the cut scene, we return to the ally's room.

On the table, we examine the speech of Julien Raymond. We go down to the platforms on the other side and use them to get to a new zone. Immediately take the essence. We turn onto a long street and go up the stairs to the right.

We open a short passage. We return back and follow forward along this narrow path.

We leave into a small alley on the left. We pass through it to the next street.

We take the carriage up. Use the dash and find the essence on the far platform.

We jump down and go further down the street. Open the chest and take the "Ice Catalyst Module I" and the key to the module.

We turn left, defeat the enemies and find the essence behind the red box. We pass through a small narrow arch, and kill the dogs and the arrow. We open a short path and turn around in the opposite direction. We climb the building on the left. We pass through several apartments on the balconies.

In the second apartment, we find the essence. We leave from the other side and jump down the platforms. We destroy a group of enemies.

We open the red door with the gold emblem and we pass further. We take the essence from the body and turn right. We move forward and go out to a small road near the river. We climb up through the wooden platforms and jump off the other side of the fence.

After the cut scene, we will pick up the bishop's ring from the ground and activate the vestal. We rise along the long road up and open a short path.

We return back and jump over the bridge.

We move further along the marker, climb onto the carriage, and exit through the apartment on the other side. We go down and at the big tree, we fight with the boss.

How to defeat the Unstable Butcher boss

This enemy is similar to other large automatons. He uses exactly the same circle techniques and tries to hit Aegis with sweeping blows. The enemy has a small assistant, which is desirable to kill first. In a narrow space, it is inconvenient to dodge, so in some cases, you will have to retreat a short distance. Don't get close to the boss from the front, as the opponent can activate a powerful cutting ring attack. For the victory, we will receive "Armor Enhancement Module I" and the key to the module.

Site. How to find civilian clothes, weapons "Batons of Hephaestus" and get to the giant

We immediately open the left chest and get the clothes "Civil top hat" and "Civil pocket". We turn in the opposite direction and climb the platforms to the left near the wall into the apartments.

Inside, open the box and get "Hephaestus Clubs" and "Swiftness Module II". We get down and go along this wall.

Near the body, we study the unfinished letter. We follow the arch and to the right of it we find essence.

We pass further and find a golden cross on the ground. Activate vestal.


We move further along the road and go down to the embankment.

We go up the next stairs. We pick up the essence near the burning beams and move to the right lane.

After watching the video, we will get the bible.

We pass forward and activate the vestal. We jump over the bridge to the arena to the boss.

How to defeat the Giant Boss Bishop of the Isle de la Cité

The enemy uses the scepter as their primary weapon. He activates sweeping attacks and frequently slams them into the ground. After a while, the boss will launch a ball at the base and will try to hit Aegis with the blade. At these moments, you need to run away and dodge the attacks of the boss.

At the last stage, the giant will light a fire and additional damage from this element will be added to all tricks. For defeating the enemy, you will receive "Efficient Parry Module I", the key to the module, and a hook that allows you to be attracted to special marked ledges and climb high platforms...

How to complete the side mission "In Search of Abbé Gregoire"

We talk with Monsignor de La Far and use all available replicas.

Activate the hook and take out of the chest "Volley Hammer". We jump into the arena and return to the vestal.

Near the wooden bridge, we find a note. We immediately talk to the soldier who hid in the nearest house.

We return to the descent to the embankment but do not go down. Activate the hook and move along the mark.

We follow the balconies of the houses and pass through the arch between the houses to the street on the right. We jump over the visor of the roof to the balcony opposite.

We pass into the arch to the right and carefully pick up the essence from the beam. We return to the balcony and use the jerk to jump over the fence from the nearest ledge.

Activate vestal. It is not necessary to go down to the embankment, we will not find anything useful there.

On both sides of the large golden gates, we find essences. Open them and go to the section on the right. From a powerful enemy, we will take cast iron and a bronze ingot.

Here we climb the stairs, use the hook and jump over the narrow ruined bridge.

Open the chest and take the spare lever.

Before going down to the locked gate, we can use the dash and get to the metal structure in the air to pick up the essence. Jump over to the other side to the left section.

We use the hook and find ourselves in the official's office.

We study the note and pick up the notes of the abbot Gregoire.

Use the lever and open another golden gate. Activate vestal.

We go up the stairs and find a note from Count Cagliostro.

A little higher in the chest, we find "Civil Pants" and "Civil Shoes". Climb up and take another staircase to the right.

From the big stairs, we turn left and jump with the help of a jerk to the balcony. We pass through the building. It is not necessary to go down to the enemy, but at a dead end you can pick up iron from the body of a dead automaton. We jump over the wall and return to the street. On the descent, we find the essence and open a fast path. At the end of the street around the corner on the left, we pick up a bronze ingot.

On the fast path, we get to the allies.

We interrogate each person to complete the side task "In Search of Brother Gregoire" and return to the carriage. We move to the Luxembourg Palace.

We pick up essences from the carriage in front and in the left narrow lane. We go straight along Tournon street and turn into the arch on the left. We run straight and find ourselves on Comedy Square.

We kill the enemies and in the chest, we pick up "Turban of the French Theater" and "Jacket of the French Theater". We move to the right and, not reaching a powerful enemy, we turn into another arch on the left.

We jump on the carriage to the balcony and pass through the apartments. We jump down from the other side and pick up the essence in front of us near the enemy.

From a powerful enemy, we get a bronze ingot.

We go into a small archway, pick up the essence and activate the vestal. Climb the stairs and go through the ruined building.

Use the grappling hook, go through the apartment and activate the jump dash to get to the building opposite. We pick up the bronze ingot and essence. Climb up the platform and follow the marker. We jump from building to building and collect essences along the way. On the roofs, we get to two powerful enemies.

We kill them and take away the weapon "Rapier and Daga" from the box.

On the roof we go out to the beam above the chest, jump over to the neighboring building and go down from the other side.

We open a fast path and move along the path further.

We go out onto a wide street and activate the vestal in the center. From it we go along the left road to the statue.

We pass a little further and through the carriage, we climb onto the balcony with the essence. We go to the nearest dead-end street. Around the corner, we will find another essence.

We move further from the vestal and get into the Luxembourg Gardens. We pass to the center of the location and meet with the boss.

How to defeat the Unstable Falcon boss

The player saw similar opponents on the streets of Paris. This enemy is no different. The boss tries to get in close range and hit with a roundabout. It won't be too hard to defeat him. For the destruction, we will receive " Module of dying rage II ", The key to the module, and a bar of bismuth.
