The Blood Tears of Umbra are the most important collectibles in Bayonetta 3. They are hidden in the levels in the form of cats, crows, and toads. Finding all of the Blood Tears within a chapter unlocks a bonus chapter. So the search is worthwhile. Since some of the animals are very well hidden, we will help you with the localities in this guide.
How to catch the cats, crows, and toads
If you enter the pause menu in the chapter, you will be shown the order of the blood tears in the current chapter in which you can find them on the left. This helps a lot with orientation and narrowing down if you missed a tear of blood. The animals not only have to be found but also caught.
- The cat always has a route and quickly runs away from you. You must try to cut off the cat's path, otherwise, it will be difficult to reach it. The different abilities of the demon masquerade will help you in the pursuit.
- The crow will fly away from you and return to the starting point later if you don't catch it. Look at the crow's flight path and then try to catch it on its flight path. Again, you have to fall back on the demon masquerade. In particular, the abilities of the monster spider Phantasmaraneae have often helped us.
- Luckily you don't have to track the toad in addition. But it is very inconspicuous and usually has the best hiding places.
The animals are difficult to spot from afar, but a red blink from the blood tear will alert you to them. In addition, you will hear sounds when they are near you. As soon as you can move freely in Tokyo, turn left at the intersection in front of you. The cat is near the burned block.

Right after verse 9, you have to jump over a ravine. On the other side, the toad is hanging on the sign of a ruined cafe-

A few yards after verse 11 in the sewers, you will see the crow on a railing in front of you.

Tears of Blood in Chapter 2
After verse 2, run straight to the parking lot on the right. The crow is sitting on the roof of the parking garage.

Just behind the crow, the cat is hiding between the cars in the parking lot.

After completing verse 7, in front of the Umeda Sky Building at the crossroads, examine the rocks on the left to spot the toad.

Tears of Blood in Chapter 3
At the beginning of chapter 3, you will find a cube on the right after a few meters. Destroy it and follow the platforms into the subway tunnel. At the other end of the tunnel, the toad is hanging on the rock face on the left.

After the frog, follow the path to the roof of a destroyed skyscraper, where the crow is sitting in the corner.

Tears of Blood in Chapter 4
According to verse 2, you have to cross a collapsing path. After that, don't go inside the building, but climb up onto the roof. The crow sits on the left edge.

After verse 4 you have to look to the right in the next section and jump to the tower that is there. On the upper level, the cat runs around in circles.

Then after verse 4 if you follow the main path you will find the toad on the left side opposite the lava pool behind the small gate.

When you leave the first battlefield straight ahead at the beginning of the chapter, you will find the cat on the left by the many stairs.

A little later jump down to a large open space. Through the hole in the wall, you get to verse 4. To the left of it, you have to climb onto the roof of the temple to collect the toad.
