 We show you all the celebrations that exist in FIFA 23 to celebrate each of your goals. Learn here how to perform the new and classic with a PlayStation or Xbox controller.

Obviously, here you will find a tutorial for each celebration, with step-by-step controls that you must follow if you want to replicate them in your game.


Previous clarifications

Before getting into the matter, it is worth mentioning that below we specify what the nomenclature of each control that we will use throughout the guide means:


  • Flick – means to move the right stick in the direction shown.
  • To the right/left/up/down: means that this movement will always be done with the right stick.
  • R3 / RS: means to press the right stick inwards.


Differences of celebrations between PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch

You should know that in this post you are reading you will only find the respective FIFA 23 celebrations for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, or PC and Stadia versions (with a controller). That is to say, here we do not list the celebrations that can be done in the Legacy version of Nintendo Switch since these are totally different for the Japanese console.

The new FIFA 23 celebrations

FIFA 23 has added 7 new special celebrations this year, some of which have been taken from real players. Here below you can check all the new celebrations of this edition and how to execute them:

eye of the storm

  • completion celebration
  • PlayStation: Hold R1 + Full Turn Left with Right Stick.
  • Xbox: Hold RB + Full Turn Left with Right Stick.
This celebration replaces "Back Worm" that was available in FIFA 22.


Griddy (Dance)

  • completion celebration
  • PlayStation: R2 (hold) + Right Stick Up twice in a row (move).
  • Xbox: RT (hold) + Right Stick Up twice in a row (flick).
This celebration replaces "Time Check" that was available in FIFA 22.

gamer

  • completion celebration
  • PlayStation: R1 (hold) + move the right stick left and right.
  • Xbox: RB (hold) + move the right stick left and right.
This celebration replaces "Push-Ups" that was available in FIFA 22.

sliding salute

  • completion celebration
  • PlayStation: R1 (hold) + hold right stick.
  • Xbox: RB (hold) + hold right stick.
This celebration replaces "Martial Arts Dream" that was available in FIFA 22.

Slide and pose

  • completion celebration
  • PlayStation: R1 (hold) + hold down the right stick.
  • Xbox: RB (hold) + hold right stick down.
This celebration replaces "Flying Kick" that was available in FIFA 22.

Billionaire Strut

  • completion celebration
  • PlayStation: L1 (hold) + Hold Right Stick Down.
  • Xbox: LB (hold) + Hold Right Stick Down.
This celebration replaces "Moto" that was available in FIFA 22.

Arm Swing

  • completion celebration
  • PlayStation: L1 (hold) + Right Stick Right and Left (flick).
  • Xbox: LB (hold) + Right Stick Right and Left (move).
This celebration replaces "Move It" that was available in FIFA 22.


basic celebrations

The basic, default FIFA 23 celebrations don't require a lot of button combinations and are fairly simple to pull off. In this category, in the current edition, we find the following:

personal celebration

These celebrations are obtained through Objectives. Pressing these buttons will perform the currently assigned celebration.

  • PlayStation: X button.
  • Xbox: A button

random celebration

  • PlayStation: Circle button.
  • Xbox: B button.

cancel celebration

  • PS: L1 + R1.
  • Xbox: LB + RB.

cancel repeat

You can also cancel the replay but have the celebration still take place with these buttons:

  • PlayStation: X button.
  • Xbox: A button


celebrations on the run

Running celebrations can be done just after scoring a goal when our player is running and celebrating the goal. At this moment we can move the scorer around the field with the left joystick and if we perform certain button combinations, the desired celebration will begin.

This is the list of FIFA 23 career celebrations:

thumb sucking

  • PlayStation: Hold Square.
  • Xbox: Hold X.

arms out

  • PlayStation: Square, then hold Square.
  • Xbox: X, then hold X.

wrist twist

  • PlayStation: Triangle, then hold Triangle.
  • Xbox: Y, then hold Y.

Airplane

  • PlayStation: Hold R3.
  • Xbox: hold RS.

pointing to the sky

  • PlayStation: keep R3 up.
  • Xbox: Keep RS up.

Telephone

  • PlayStation: keep R3 down.
  • Xbox: keep RS down.

open hands

  • PlayStation: Tap R3 to the right, then hold R3 to the left.
  • Xbox: Tap RS right, then hold RS left.

Grinder

  • PlayStation: Turn R3 one full turn to the right (clockwise).
  • Xbox: Turn RS one full turn to the right (clockwise).


completion celebrations

Finishing celebrations are moves after the running moves mentioned above and conclude with the entire team celebrating the goal scored.

  • PlayStation: hold L2 + double tap Square.
  • Xbox: Hold LT + double tap X.

Challenge

  • PlayStation: hold L1 and press Square.
