CoD Modern Warfare 2: Change name & color - Game Guide

CoD Modern Warfare 2: Change name & color - Game Guide

Change name in CoD MW 2

You will find the option to change your name directly in the game itself. It is also fairly easy and quick to do.

Important note: Changing the name will cost you one token! This counts as a consumable and will disappear after the change. Every 6 months you will get another rename token if you want to make a name change again. So make a wise decision.

If you want to change your display name within the game, follow these steps:

  1. Starts Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
  2. Open the options and navigate to the settings (gear).
  3. Switch to the "Account & Network" tab.
  4. Now select "Activision Account" and click on it.
  5. In the menu that follows, click on "Change display name".
  6. Now you can enter your new display name and you only have to confirm it.

Important: Changes to your Activision account, in this case your display name, will require a restart. So if you have changed your name, you will need to quit and restart the game for the name change to take effect.

Color name

In addition to changing the name, you can also color your name.
