Disable crossplay on MW2: how to do it on Xbox, PlayStation and PC?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PS4, PS5, and PC. After early access to the game's campaign on October 20, 2022, since October 28, you can enjoy the entire game, including multiplayer mode.

Modern Warfare 2 has crossplay functionality for all existing platforms. This means you can play with users on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. But, on some platforms, it doesn't seem possible to disable the feature.

How to disable crossplay functionality on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

When the game and multiplayer mode launched on October 28, 2022, players realized that it was not possible to disable crossplay on PC and Xbox. Normally, you could turn this option on and off in the game menu and settings under the Account and Network tab. There was a Crossplay option that you could turn on and off as you wish.

We haven't yet had any information on the arrival of this option, but it seems logical that in the future you can deactivate the crossplay mode if you don't want to play with players on another platform.

For console players, it is normal to want to disable crossplay mode since there can be some disadvantages to playing on a controller against PC players with keyboards and mice.

It is likely that Activision and the developers will communicate soon on this feature since it has been debated on social networks in recent days. It is possible to imagine the will not to give this possibility when the game is released so that all players can play together.
