Dying Light 2: Bloody Ties: Start the DLC and enter the arena - Game Guide

The first story DLC for Dying Light 2 is called "Bloody Ties" or "Blutigeverbindungen" in German. You don't shy away from battle and want to become the hero of the arena, but are unsure how to start the DLC? Then you will get all the important answers here.

Requirements to access the DLC in Dying Light 2

Luckily, there is only one requirement you need to meet in order to start the Bloody Ties DLC. Once you have completed the mission "The Only Way Out" (the first main quest after the prologue), you can start the first DLC quest called "First Blood". You will automatically be made aware of what is happening in the DLC by radio from a stranger and you can start.

However, I recommend at this point not to climb into the arena immediately after the first main quest. You should continue the story of the game until you have unlocked the central ring, i.e. the second large part of the city. Otherwise, you will make progress - and later killing - unnecessarily difficult.

Start the DLC and reach the new area

If you have loaded your save again after a long time and you have long since completed the story, you will receive the message from the stranger via radio shortly after waking up. You can then automatically hold down the button shown to start the DLC quest "First Blood".

Follow the path marker on the map to the pool (Quarry End) and interact with the supposed gate to the arena. From here it's about two hours of gameplay before you can enter the new area of the DLC. So don't be surprised if it doesn't start right away. Because of spoilers, I don't want to reveal any details at this point. So you will start the DLC soon enough and measure your fighting power against exceptional competitors.

To get to the new DLC area, all you have to do is interact with the van in the garage by approaching the door and pressing the button indicated. A hint shows you that you can now leave Villedor and make "Bloody Ties" unsafe. If you want to leave the new area, you can also do this via the van.
