God of War Ragnarök has a transmog feature that allows you to change the look of your armor and weapons. But the function is somewhat hidden and is also linked to certain requirements. You can find out how to unlock transmog here.
Unlock transmog
Before you can use the transmog feature, you must first upgrade the armor/weapon you want to visually change to the highest level 9. Only then can you change the appearance. The "Edit Appearance" display will then appear in the armor menu for the corresponding piece of equipment, which you must confirm with the square button.
Change the appearance of armor
You can customize the appearance of each piece of armor for the chest, arms, and hips. Important: You can only take on the appearance of armor that is already in your possession. You will get all armor automatically if you complete 100% of each area and craft all armor at the Blacksmith. The exception is the Steinbjörn armor, which is a bit more hidden.
If you want to restore the original armor to its normal appearance, press the triangle button on the armor selection screen to restore the default appearance.
Change the appearance of weapons
You can also customize the appearance of the Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, and Spear of Draupnir. But you have to improve this to the highest level first. Then select the appropriate weapon in the weapon menu and press the square button to edit the appearance.
With the weapons, however, you can only assume the appearance of the previous upgrade levels. For example, you can make the level 9 Blades of Chaos look like the level 6 Blades of Chaos.
