Gran Turismo 7 on PC? Polyphony Digital is considering this idea

Polyphony Digital is considering bringing the Gran Turismo series to PC, according to Sony studio boss Kazunori Yamauchi in an interview with GTPlanet during the franchise's twenty-fifth-anniversary event.

Asked if Polyphony Digital would consider releasing their flagship series on PC, Yamauchi replied, " Yes, I think so ."

However, this does not appear to be a decision the studio will take lightly, and there are many aspects to consider.

"Gran Turismo is a very well thought out game," Yamauchi explained. “There aren't many platforms that can natively run a game at 4K/60fps, so one way to make that possible is to narrow down the number of platforms. It's not a very simple topic, but obviously we're looking into it and considering it."

A possible PC port of Gran Turismo 7 would no doubt be big news considering it's one of Sony's most famous mind games, but it wouldn't come as much of a surprise.

In recent years, we've seen an increasing number of PlayStation Studios franchises coming to PC, such as Insomaniac Games' Marvel's Spider-Man, Santa Monica Studio's God of War (2018), Naughty Dog's Uncharted, and Guerrilla Games' Zero Dawn Horizon. Also, according to some clues in the Steam database, Returnal is next on the list.
