How to get Mjolnir (Thor's hammer) in God of War: Ragnarök?

God of War: Ragnarök takes Norse mythology as its basis, so throughout the game, gamers meet many iconic and famous personalities. So, there is Odin, his (former) wife Freya and, of course, Thor, who wields the mighty hammer Mjolnir. Can Kratos get this formidable weapon? Read about it below.

Can Kratos wield Mjolnir in God of War: Ragnarök?

No. And there are reasons for that. First, there is no reason to believe that Kratos, or anyone else other than the god of thunder and his family members, can use a mighty hammer. Each time the weapon appears in the game, the hammer is exclusively in the hands of Thor. In some missions, Thor will even accompany Atreus, and players will be able to see the mighty Mjolnir in action. The only time the god will drop the hammer is after dying at the hands of his father, Odin, at the very end of the game.

What is the fate of Mjolnir?

After Odin kills Thor, the latter will drop his hammer. Kratos won't even look in the direction of the weapon, let alone pick it up. On the other hand, Trud, Thor's daughter, will try to attack Odin, and the Allfather will use magic to throw Thor's hammer at the girl, who will fly off the stage. The next time we see Trud is already in the shelter after the end of the game.

It is not clear whether Trud will be able to use the Mjolnir hammer since after the weapon crashes into the girl and she flies off the screen with him, we do not receive any other information regarding this item.

If you continue the game after the story, you will be able to meet Trud, who will find Thor's hammer and say that it is now hers. To do this, go to the mystical gates "Canyons" to intersect with Trud in a clearing near the forge.
