Rumor has it that Infinity Ward is working on a story spin-off about Ghost

 

According to WhatIfGaming, it looks like Infinity Ward is working on a story-driven Ghost campaign to be a paid expansion for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

There is no official information yet, but according to the source, the project was revealed by someone from the team and without much detail. In any case, in an interview with IGN, Infinity Ward lead writer Brian Bloom expressed particular interest in the Ghost character.

We think it would be very interesting. There is something iconic about this character, but where did the mask and other elements that you see on the surface come from? We would like to explore these aspects and we think that the audience will like something similar.

The idea, in short, is that the team is working on a big expansion entirely dedicated to the story of Simon "Ghost" Riley, as a kind of character origin story, which will possibly be offered as additional content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 next year

According to WhatIfGaming, the character's actor and voice actor, Samuel Rukin, was contacted specifically for further recording sessions following the completion of the main game, which does hint at the arrival of special additional content.
