Evil West guide - how to find all collectible notes and letters

 Location of all collectible notes hidden inside the bags in Evil West


There are several types of collectibles in Evil West, and in this guide, we will tell you how to find all the bags with notes, letters, or items. Even if you miss any item, you can always open the pause menu, go to the "Story" tab and select the mission you would like to replay.


Doubtful cargo

  • The story, Bags of Notes #1 (Part of Inventory List): as soon as you get inside the car after another fight against normal enemies and thugs, look for a bag lying on the left hand.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #2 (Chester Morgan's Letter): After defeating a large enemy group (Edgar helps you during the battle), climb onto the wagon. You can turn left and jump into the next car to find the cache. Jump into the cave, and take your time. On the right side, next to the burning wagon, there is a bag with a collectible.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #1 (Familiar Tattoo Design): After killing the first bandits, climb into the wooden hut on the right side using the open window. According to the story, you need to go upstairs, but before using the steps, look for a collectible nearby (on the first floor).

  • Story, Bags of Notes #2 (Peter D'Abano's Notes 1/3): once you're inside the shaft on the way to the mysterious temple, eliminate the first enemies in this location, move forward through the narrow passage, but don't rush to jump down. Look to the left side and find another collectible.

  • Story, Note Bags #3 (Peter D'Abano's Notes 2/3): When you hit the closed gate and the valve next to it, continue left and go down. There will be another valve here. After turning it, shoot the target beam and jump back to the grate. After turning the valve near it, inspect the box on the left hand, where the collectible lies.

  • History, Bags of Notes #4 (Peter D'Abano's Notes 3/3): The gate leading further is closed. Find a passage on the side, continue on and turn left (at the place where you need to jump over the concrete block on the right) to pick up the collectible.

  • History, Bags of Notes #5 (Jesse among the IR Cadets): in the corner a little further, on a small table, there is a bag with a collectible photo of Jesse.

  • History, Bags of Notes #6 (Civil War Photo): Enter the main hall and move up the large staircase. Turn left and take the collectible from the shelf.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #8 (Portrait of William Rentier): Talk to Agent Frasers in another room. You can buy weapon upgrades from him. After buying the upgrades, enter the room on the right and be sure to pick up the collectible lying on the chair

  • Story, Note Bags #9 (Great-grandfather Jesse): After learning the move on Q and W, move to a room with many flasks. The room looks like some kind of laboratory. Go deeper and turn left. There will be money here, and at the very end, if you walk along the wall - a collectible.

  • History, Bags of Notes #1 (Emilia and Virgil in Calico, 1884): In the first room, on the table in the center, find the collectible.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #3 (Bloom's Bestiary 1/3): Jump over the stone and kill the bandits. Get close to the right rock so that the sniper around the corner can't take aim at you. After killing everyone, go to the right side through the gorge with water and pick up the collectible lying in the water.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #4 (Bloom's Bestiary 2/3): Wait for the moment when you need to jump into the water. Go to the end of the river and defeat the opponents in the open area. After that, shoot the mount on the right to create a wooden bridge across the chasm. On the way along the cliff you will find a collectible.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #5 (Agent Bloom's Bestiary 3/3): After the fight with the Highborn Vampire, jump over the fence and look for an item lying directly on the main path. It's hard not to notice him.

  • History, Bags of Notes #1 (William Rentier Papers 1/3): Go upstairs to the saloon and find the collectible.

  • Story, Note Bags #2 (Emilia's Promotion Order): After returning to the hideout, go to the room on the right, where there is a table, around which the NPCs were located before the beginning of the previous chapter. On the right, there is a ladder. Go upstairs and look for the collectible on the table behind the shelves.

  • Story, Note Bags #7 (Scrap of Paper): Once in the mine, deal with the enemies. The path to the right leads to an adit with TNT against the wall. By blowing up the boxes, you can get to a unique chest. Get back and destroy the wall on the right hand. Ahead will be a box with a bag.

  • Story Bags of Notes #1 (DAILY MAIL News 3/4): After the cutscene, enter the workshop on the left to find the collectible.

  • History, Note Bags #3 (Felicity's Diary 1/6): Keep going through the level until you break the first seal. After rising, deal with new exploding opponents, make your way under the log and look for a new note on the crystals on the right side.

  • Story Bags of Notes #4 (Felicity's Letter to the Sawmill Workers): Once you're past the fallen tree, deal with the new enemies and climb up the ledge on the right. After picking up the money from the chest, climb the next ledge, go uphill and blow up the TNT near the building on the right hand. Inside it, look for a new collectible.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #5 (Felicity's Diary 2/6): When you defeat the big guy by using Cannon Punch for the first time (by throwing normal enemies at him), climb up to the ledge and go up. Burn the thickets, kill a new enemy group and find another collectible ahead.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #3 (Orchid of Life): Soon you will enter a mine with spiders. Burn the web. To the left, there will be a web leading to a regular chest. Shortly after entering the mine, when you burn 2-3 cobwebs, look on the left side for a collectible.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #4 ("Susan"): Watch the cutscene after the interaction. Now move forward and clear the clearing. Climb up and look to the left for a collectible.

  • Story, Note Bags #2 (Secretary Harrow Report 1/2): Talk to the worker ahead, then slide down the zip line. Turn around, go in the opposite direction, blow up the TNT and pick up the money bag. Keep moving, jump over and pick up the collectible.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #3 (Secretary Harrow's Report 2/2): Enter the building, go upstairs, and near the workbench, you will automatically receive the Infernal Charge upgrade. In the next room, on the barrel on the left is a collectible.

  • Story Bags of Notes #1 (DAILY MAIL News 4/4): In Calico, before the mission begins. You cannot return to the saloon, but to the left of the door leading there, there is a collectible item on the barrel.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #5 (Felicity's Diary 5/6): At some point, you'll find a workbench and automatically get the Railgun upgrade. Break the boards on the second floor and open a simple chest. Get outside, go forward and pick up a bag of coins on the left side. Follow the narrow street, kill three enemies and go up the stairs. On the right, there is a wooden box with money. On the right or left hand, there will be a collectible on the bench.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #6 (Felicity's Diary 6/6): After another battle, before breaking through the fence, find a collectible on the train car on the left.

  • Story Bags of Notes #1 (Seven-Year-Old Drawing): Enter the house, destroy the third nest, and then go upstairs and turn left to find the collectible.

  • Story, Note Bags #2 (Gray Oaks Villager Letter 2/2): When you get to the cave and blow up the nest, leave it and go up to the note. There will also be a unique chest.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #3 (Letter from Gray Oaks Resident 1/2): After destroying another nest, you will have to cross a large axis rotated by a stream of water. Follow between the houses until you see a blocked house. Break down the door and take the collectible.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #1 (Letter to the IR team from an agent): can be found after the minecart ride. Go down below and defeat several enemies. After that, enter the blocked room: break down the door and take the collectible.

  • Story, Note Bags #2 (Chester Arthur's Letter): When you activate the generator in front of the house, head the other way, past the electrical box, and pick up the note bag.

  • Story, Bags of Notes #3 (Letter from William Rentier): Once in the workshop, which leads to a narrow path between the rocks, pick up the collectible, and then move up the stairs.
