NieR: Automata anime confirms its release date for January 2023

The NieR: Automata Ver.1.1a anime has just confirmed its release date outside of Japan. On January 7, 2023, that is to say, nothing, and less considering that this weekend we left 2022 behind, the popular fiction based on the PlatinumGames video game that has been so successful over the years, becoming an essential work in science fiction. Square Enix and Aniplex have shared a new trailer confirming the anime's release dates, adding extra footage to accompany the news, of course. We see once again 9S and 2B bringing out their best skills for action.

NieR: Automata Ver.1.1a Coming to Crunchyroll Next Month

The anime should reach Crunchyroll worldwide, with the fiction ready to be broadcast in more than 160 countries, according to comments from Aniplex. NieR: Automata is one of the most highly rated games by critics in recent years, applying, as we said, for a mandatory title. In this era where most of the outstanding products within the video game industry make the leap to the cinematographic format (whether as a movie or a series), Automata could not be missing. However, the adaptation will not exactly follow the steps of the game, as Yoko Taro himself clarified in the past: "NieR: Automata was a story that we created to be a game, socopying it as is would not be an interesting story for an anime. So it occurred to me to switch things up ."

In NieR: Automata Ver.1.1a, the name given to this anime, we will follow in the footsteps of 2B landing on Earth to face all the evils that attack humanity. On his way, how could it be otherwise, he will come across 9S and their adventure will start hand in hand. After Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, there is a desire to see how this story has been transferred to the television format.
