Steam is testing a new feature that will save you time when launching games

Valve is constantly adding new features to Steam. Also included in the latest beta update is a small but useful change related to the launch of games.

Currently, gamers can change launch options by entering commands in the Properties window (accessible by right-clicking on a game of interest to them in the Steam Library), on the General tab. It's not very intuitive, although it opens up a lot of possibilities.

Now, in the beta version, there is a feature where during the launch of the game (i.e. clicking on the "Play" button), a window appears with some options, such as enabling VR mode, skipping the launcher, or enabling/disabling certain functions.

It should be noted that not all games have this feature, so in some cases, the game will launch immediately without opening a new window with options. Players can also force games to immediately launch with the selected feature without having to select it each time. This can be done either at the start of the game (check the box "Always use this option"), or in the "Properties of the game", on the same tab where, as mentioned above, you can manually enter the launch options.
