Fire Emblem Engage, the new game from the popular turn-based strategy franchise, is now available on Nintendo Switch. It is already shaping up to be a benchmark for the license, and certainly one of the games that will be remembered for Nintendo's console.
Many gameplay elements are taken from old opuses with of course some welcome new features. You will find a similar turn-based combat system with the strengths and weaknesses of your units' weapons. One of the specificities of the game are the link rings and the link fragments. We explain how they work.
Where to find Link Fragments in Fire Emblem Engage?
To get Link Fragments in Fire Emblem Engage, you are going to have to complete the activities offered to you on the Somniel Notice Board. These proposed tasks are challenges to complete that will allow you to earn a good amount of Link Fragments as a reward. The challenges are on the whole quite simple to complete since they consist of performing certain movements in combat, interacting with allies and vendors, doing activities in Somniel, and other miscellaneous tasks.
What are Link Fragments used for in Fire Emblem Engage?
Your character will receive Link Fragments as a reward for certain activities. Link Fragments are a currency that allows you to forge Link Rings that improve your stats.
To use them, you will go to Somniel's Chamber of the Rings. Creating a Link Ring costs 100 Link Fragments.
You can also fuse Link Rings together to give your units even more stats. To perform this operation, you will also need to use link fragments. As you will have understood, this currency is at the center of the gameplay.
