How to collect all the dolls in Forspoken

Forspoken is an open-world fantasy action game that offers a huge number of tasks, challenges, and side quests available for you to complete. One of the side activities involves collecting dolls - small wooden dolls that can be exchanged for useful and sometimes powerful items.

In the game, you can collect a total of 9 pupae, and all of them are in Cipal. And you won’t be able to do this until the end of the game, so you will have to think about what items you want to buy during the game, and which ones you want to leave for the end game.

Location of all pupae

The nine pupae that are hidden in Forspoken are identical. Think of them as an additional in-game currency that follows the old coins. Each doll can only be obtained after interacting with a certain cat, which you will meet at different stages of the game. After interacting with the cats, a small run will begin, in parallel you will complete another passing task (secondary mission): you need to follow the cat, which will lead you to the chrysalis. Even if you know which bag the doll is in, you won't be able to pick it up until the cat gets to the bag.

And now step by step:

  1. Chasing a tricolor cat. Can be completed in the third story chapter, once you can explore the Cipal on your own.
  2. Chasing a black and white cat, part 1. Can be completed in the fourth story chapter, literally from the very beginning.
  3. Chasing the black and white cat, part 2. Can be completed in the fourth story chapter, after the previous passing request and visiting the archive (according to the story).
  4. Chasing a gray cat, part 1. Can be completed in the fourth story chapter, literally from the very beginning.
  5. Chasing the gray cat, part 2. Can be completed in the fourth story chapter, after the previous passing request and exiting Cipal.
  6. Chasing the minke whale, part 1. Can be completed in the seventh story chapter, after talking with Robian.
  7. Chasing the minke whale, part 2. Can be completed in the seventh story chapter, after the side task indicated above.
  8. Blackie Chase, Part 1. Can be completed after completing the main story, in the endgame stage.
  9. Blackie Chasing, Part 2. Can be completed after completing the main story, in the endgame stage. But only after completing the previous side task.

To find all the side missions listed above, open the Tsipal map and find the corresponding icons - in the form of a diamond with an exclamation point inside, yellow-black.

Why are puppets needed?

Although you can have a certain number of dolls from the very beginning of the game, you will only be able to trade them after reaching the seventh chapter. It was then that the shop of the merchant of dolls will open. You will find it next to the sheep in the Upper City, although the shop will move from time to time in the following chapters, which is associated with certain story events.

piece of metal

A crafting material used to increase the maximum supply of healing potions.
  • Cost: 1 doll

Cape

This cloak sometimes restores health when you deal critical hits to enemies.
  • Cost: 1 doll

Umbrella

A high-level crafting material used to craft new equipment and upgrade necklaces.
  • Cost: 2 dolls

Pages

Cloak with the ability to quickly get rid of negative effects.
  • Cost: 5 dolls
Since you can only redeem all the items after you get to the post-game and get the last two dolls, I recommend buying the Stranit cloak, the Drape cloak and a piece of metal to start in the seventh chapter. But you can buy the "Umbrella" already at the end of the plot, when you pick up the last two dolls.
