How to unlock all costumes in Dead Space Remake

We tell you how to get all the costumes in the game and upgrade the armor to the sixth level

One of the most iconic features of the remake of the original Dead Space are the suits, which are referred to in the game as the Resource Integration Gear (RIG). In fact, these are ordinary skins, since you will not improve any characteristics by switching between them. Throughout the journey, Isaac Clarke wears the same suit, and you just change the elements of his design. In this guide, we will tell you how to find all the costumes in the Dead Space Remake (2023).

Suits are the first and only defensive tool that allows Isaac to avoid damage from Necromorph attacks in Dead Space Remake. If you need a new look, you can change your costume at any shop for USG Ishimura. Shops are kiosks that can be found in each chapter. Sometimes there are several of them. Interact with any store, go to the "Storage" tab, and select the costume or equipment you want to equip.

The names of the rooms on Ishimura correspond to what you will see on the in-game map. Therefore, if you don't understand what we are talking about, open the map and use the list of rooms to make it easier to find the right location.

Burnished

This costume is a reward for those players who completed Dead Space Remake on the maximum difficulty level. If successful, the player will receive not only the costume but also the Untouchable achievement along with a unique weapon. Please note that you cannot die in this mode, otherwise you will have to start the game from the very beginning.

How to unlock: Complete the game on the highest difficulty level.

How to expand inventory

As you progress through Dead Space Remake, you will encounter difficulties related to inventory management. There will be a lot of items in the game, but there are only 12 free slots in the suit by default. The slots are needed to store weapons, ammunition (which also breaks into small stacks), first aid kits, boards for sale, and so on. Therefore, after a couple of hours of playing, you will wonder - is it possible to increase the capacity of the inventory? And we are ready to answer it!

To increase your inventory space, you need to buy the appropriate upgrades for Isaac's costume, which are sold in the store. Shops are found throughout the game, on every level, sometimes in multiples. These upgrades will not only increase the inventory but also increase the strength of the suit, give more armor. However, for each upgrade, you will have to spend several thousand credits.

The first store you find in Dead Space Remake is at the end of the Arrivals chapter - look for it before visiting the Medical Deck. You can purchase a level 2 costume upgrade for 10,000 credits, which will increase inventory space from 12 to 18 slots. You will also get +5% Armor.

Initially, Isaac's backpack will have 12 slots. As you improve the suit, the inventory will become even wider. Below is a list of all available upgrades, their cost, and features.
