DirectX error in One Piece Odyssey

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Perform a "clean" install of the graphics card driver only. Don't install audio or GeForce Experience... Same for AMD.
  • Disable the second monitor (if available) and any other peripherals.
  • Disable G-Sync.
  • Use System File Checker
  • For NVIDIA cards. Right-click on desktop -> NVIDIA Control Panel. At the top where File, Edit, View... click on "Help" and turn on "Debug Mode".
  • Sometimes the cause may be overheating of the video card. Use the FurMark utility to test your graphics card under load. Try lowering the frequencies. For more information, see the Internet on request: undervolting and lowering the frequency of the video card.

One Piece Odyssey stopped launching

What changes did you make on the computer? Perhaps the cause of the problem was the installation of a new program. Open the list of installed programs (Start -> Add or Remove Programs), sort by date. Remove newly installed ones. Reinstall One Piece Odyssey.
Also, check the task manager. If copies of One Piece Odyssey processes are running, end them all.

One Piece Odyssey black screen

A black screen as well as a white screen or other colors can indicate various errors, but most often this refers to some kind of problem on the part of the video subsystem, and in some cases, RAM may be the culprit. Also, disable overclocking of PC components if used.

Solutions for this problem

Running One Piece Odyssey in Windowed Mode

Windowed mode on Steam

  1. Go to the Steam Library
  2. Right-click on One Piece Odyssey and open "Properties"
  3. Open the "General" tab and click "Set Launch Options"
  4. Add -windowed
Windowed mode via .exe

  1. Right-click on the desktop shortcut of the game and go to "Properties"
  2. In the line "Object" after the quotes (") add "-windowed"
  3. "C:\Games\One Piece Odyssey\Bin\Win64\One Piece Odyssey.exe" –windowed

Close video recording software

One of the reasons for the black screen can be video capture programs: Nvidia ShadowPlay, AMD ReLive, Dxtory, and others

Also, errors can be caused by applications that are associated with the "improvement" of graphics in games. For example VibranceGUI, Overwolf, and many others. Various modifications can also cause errors. Use a simple rule: the fewer programs running simultaneously with the game, the better. Remove everything unnecessary.

RAM testing

The culprit of the problem occasionally becomes the PC's RAM.

  1. Test with a dedicated RAM test app. For example: RamSmash. Read about the way to check memory using tools in Windows 10, 8, and 7.
  2. Try changing the memory sticks to other slots.
  3. If you have 2 or more modules, then try leaving only one.
  4. Detailed instructions for diagnosing memory can be found on specialized sites.

Error installing One Piece Odyssey

Not installed. The path to the game should not contain Russian letters, only Latin. Check and clean your hard drive (in rare cases, replacing the SATA cable may help). Try changing the installation path.

How to raise FPS in One Piece Odyssey

Of course, the easiest way to increase FPS is by upgrading PC components, but you should try free methods first. Install the latest video adapter driver (Nvidia, AMD, or Intel). Restart your computer. Lower the resolution and also use a reduced level of visual effects in the graphics settings. It is not recommended to use all sorts of accelerators and "boosters" because they can contain malware, and at the same time, their real usefulness is mostly extremely insignificant. While you are only putting your PC at risk of infection. Reinstalling Windows. This option should be considered as a last resort if other methods do not work. This can help because over time, the "OS" grows with obsolete files and processes to such an extent that the execution of applications is seriously slowed down.

DLL error in One Piece Odyssey

Errors like: dll is missing, d3d11.dll, msvcp110.dll not found, and others.

IMPORTANT: It is not recommended to download DLL files from third-party sites in an attempt to replace your missing or corrupted DLL files. Use this option only as a last resort.

Standard actions when a DLL error occurs :

  1. Restart your computer
  2. Restore the deleted DLL file from the recycle bin (or use a file recovery program). Of course, this option is suitable if you deleted the file
  3. Scan your computer for viruses and malware
  4. Use System Restore (see instructions online)
  5. Reinstall One Piece Odyssey
  6. Update your drivers
  7. Using System File Checker in Windows 10 (See instructions online)
  8. Update Windows if patches are available
  9. Perform a clean install of Windows
  10. If the DLL error persists after a clean install of Windows, then this problem is not related to the software, but to the components of your PC.

Errors with specific DLLs

MSVCP140.dll error message. You need to update/install the Visual C++ package.
This can be done at

If you have any USB controllers (or other devices) connected to the network, try disabling them. Startup crashes with crash module names ntdll.dll and EZFRD64.DLL can (for the latter in particular) be related to USB controllers or PS2 to USB adapters (for various games).

If you are experiencing api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll errors on Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, Microsoft has released a patch to fix the problem.

If you receive an error message MSVCR120.dll, go to C:\Windows\System 32 and look for "MSVCR120.dll". Delete this file. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\One Piece Odyssey\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2013 and run "vcredist_x64.exe". Then click "repair" (fix).

Controls not working in One Piece Odyssey

Remove the input device (gamepad, mouse) from the USB and reinsert. If the mouse and keyboard are not working, then try disconnecting the gamepad and other USB devices.

For Origin

Library > Right Click One Piece Odyssey > Properties > Uncheck "Enable In-Game Screen"

One Piece Odyssey not full screen

Press ALT+ENTER. Check the game settings (window mode, resolution, etc.). In some cases, changing the refresh rate (in the Nvidia control panel) from 60 Hz to 59 Hz (click "Apply"), and back to 60 Hz, helps. Another way: also in the Nvidia control panel, go to the "Adjust the size and position of the desktop" section. In the upper right corner, click "Restore".

Optimizing One Piece Odyssey on PC

This is a rather broad question. There are many things you can do to improve performance.

Install the latest

Lower graphics settings

The most important thing and the simplest. Try lowering the game's graphic settings to the lowest possible resolution. Keep in mind that settings such as anti-aliasing, texture quality, shadow resolution, and various 3D effects require the most performance.

Overclock your CPU and GPU

If you have good cooling, overclock your GPU and/or CPU. The result of overclocking computer components is increased heat dissipation, and therefore a reduction in service life. Therefore, first of all, you should take care of good cooling. Many modern motherboards already come with software in which you can increase the frequency of the video card or processor. Please note that some video cards (usually with the addition of OC Edition in the name) already come from the manufacturer with overclocked frequencies. Overclocking is a good option if you have a separate system unit. But, for example, it is better not to take risks with laptops, since their cooling capabilities in them are very limited. You can find more information on this subject on the Internet.

Use software from the graphics card manufacturer

AMD Gaming Evolved / NVIDIA GeForce Experience / Intel HD Graphics Control Panel - utilities with all sorts of functions, including game optimization.

Use utilities to clean up junk and unnecessary files

There are many special utilities for cleaning and optimizing your PC. Glary Utilities 5 is a popular utility with a full range of tools aimed at cleaning the system of unnecessary files.

Disk Optimization

Go to disk properties. Select the "Tools" tab -> click the "Defragment (or Optimize)" button. In the same place in the properties, there is the cleaning and checking of the disk.

NVIDIA / AMD Control Panel

In the NVIDIA (or AMD) Control Panel, go to the Manage 3D Settings (NVIDIA) tab, or Games -> 3D Application Settings (AMD). You can set both global graphics processing settings here, and separately for Syberia: The World Before. Or under "Adjust Image Settings with Preview" (for NVIDIA), then "User Settings -> Performance" by moving the slider all the way to the left.

Remove unnecessary processes from startup

Click the Start button (in the lower-left corner). Type msconfig in the search box, then press Enter. The system configuration window will open, select the "Startup" tab (in Win 10, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and open the same tab). You will see a list of programs that automatically load with Windows. Disable the download of everything unnecessary (do not remove applications you do not know from startup, otherwise you risk disrupting the computer). Restart your computer. Temporarily disable applications (antivirus, Skype, etc.). Launch Syberia: The World Before.

OS Optimization

Free up some resources by turning off Windows visual effects, deactivating unused services, built-in debuggers, and more.

Increase RAM using a flash drive

Right-click on the USB drive and select "Properties". Go to the "Ready Boost" tab, and check "Use this device".

One Piece Odyssey is stuck in the process

Run One Piece Odyssey in compatibility mode for another OS.

Sometimes the problem is the Nvidia GeForce Experience driver add-on. Disable all optimizations for the game in it.

On AMD graphics cards, the Gaming Evolved (Raptr) application can create problems. Try temporarily disabling or deleting it.

If you have Nvidia Capture Service in your task manager, try ending the process. End other processes related to video capture.

Update your video card driver.

One Piece Odyssey and error 0xc000007b

This application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). The most common reason for the error when starting the application 0xc000007b is problems with NVidia drivers.

Possible Solutions

  1. Reinstall video card drivers
  2. Try running the game as an administrator
  3. Install/update DirectX, Visual C++, and .Net Framework. Download all files only from the official Microsoft website.
  4. Open the Run command prompt from the Start menu and type sfc /scannow. With this command, your PC will scan the system files and fix some errors.
  5. Remove unnecessary software that may conflict with the video driver. Basically, these are various "improvers" of graphics. The fewer additional applications you have running, the better.

Method with Dependency Walker 64bit

  1. Download and extract  Dependency Walker 64bit.
  2. Run the program, go to View > Full paths. Now select the One Piece Odyssey .exe file. After you have selected the .exe of the game, a window may pop up in which you will see errors, just close it. In the  module section, scroll down to the bottom of the error block and you will see several values in the columns.
  3. Now in the CPU column all DLL files should be x64-bit for your game. If there is an x86 DLL file will be in the red CPU column. This file is what causes the 0xc000007b error.
  4. Now go to and download the 64-bit version of this DLL file there and place it in the root folder of the game and in C:\Windows\system32. The game should now launch without problems.

One Piece Odyssey - BSOD or Blue Screen

BSOD usually means some kind of serious problem on your system that is not related to the game. First, check your power supply. If it overheats, it will turn off. Also, if the system does not have enough power from it, then various errors are possible, including BSOD. Test other components of your PC. On the network, you can find various utilities to check the memory, hard drive, and video card.
