Weapon strengths and weaknesses in Fire Emblem Engage, how does this mechanic work?

Fire Emblem Engage is now available on Nintendo Switch. Like previous editions, some weapons are better against others.

Fire Emblem Engage , the new game from the popular turn-based strategy game franchise, is now available on Nintendo Switch. It is already shaping up to be a benchmark for the license, and certainly one of the games that will be remembered for Nintendo's console.

In many ways, Fire Emblem Engage is similar to the other games in the license since the principle remains the same, turn-based strategy. Each unit can equip a weapon such as a bow, sword, etc. Some weapons are better against others and have weaknesses against some to give a strategic element in the choice of units and equipment. If you do not know these power relations, we explain everything to you.

What is the balance of power between the different weapons in Fire Emblem Engage?

A new triangular type of balance of power makes its appearance in Fire Emblem Engage. This is a central element of the game since by performing an attack with a weapon that has an advantage over the enemy unit's weapon, you can inflict the Break status. That unit will then be unable to counterattack until its next turn, so it's worth familiarizing yourself with weapon weaknesses and advantages on Fire Emblem Engage.
