At a point in Chapter 3: Correcting the course of the story of Dead Space Remake, the players will have to solve a small puzzle that consists of activating the centrifuge in the Ishimura engineering area. It is possible that more than one could choke on this at first. It's okay, that's what we're here for. Next in this entry of our guide, we are going to show you what is the solution to this objective and how you can activate the centrifuge without any problem.
How to activate the centrifuge?
Once you get to the centrifuge room in Dead Space Remake you will see that your guide button does not tell you exactly what to do in this wide area. No problem. Actually, the solution is very easy. First of all, you have to look at the two large arms (or modules) that are on the sides of the machine in the center.
These arms must be connected to the centrifuge in order to activate it. How do we do this?
- First, use your suit's jet boots to float in zero gravity.
- Approach one of the two mechanical arms.
- Now use the stabilization module on the arm to slow him down.
- Then, before it returns to its standard speed, move the arm with the Kinetic Module to fit it into the centrifuge.
If you do it right and fast, the arm will hook onto the spinner with no problem. Then you just have to do the same with the arm on the opposite side. Easy, right?
After connecting the two arms you must fly towards the catwalk that is on the opposite side of the door through which you entered the room. Here you will find the console that allows you to activate the centrifuge. So the puzzle is solved, although there is still a small problem...
How to get out of the centrifuge?
After reactivating the centrifuge a vacuum will be generated in the room and time will be running against you because of course your oxygen is limited. Now you must return to the entrance door of the room, but you can no longer use the boots to fly there and you must go on foot.
- Start by using the elevator next to the centrifuge console.
- With it you will go down to the lower level, but be very careful, here the arms of the centrifuge are rotating.
- These arms are constantly spinning counterclockwise and if they hit you they will kill you.
- You have to wait for the arm to pass by before running to the next hole where you can take cover.
- Repeat the process several times until you reach the next elevator (along the way in one of the holes you have an oxygen tank).
- Finally, after going up in the elevator you can reach the exit door.
