Although Sons of the Forest is under development, according to the developers, the storyline is considered complete. In subsequent updates, players will only see cosmetic changes and fixes to some mechanics. Today we will tell you how to get all the available endings in this game.
Note: To get one of the three available endings, simply follow the story. When you get to the entrance to the lava cave, the door to which you need to open with the help of golden armor, be sure to save. To do this, you can install a regular canvas tent.
How to get the good (regular) ending
Conditions:
- Kelvin - dead or alive (doesn't matter)
- Virginia - dead or alive (doesn't matter)
- You have left the island.
After reaching the golden cube, watch a long cut scene. Even if Kelvin died during your survival, you will still see him in the final cutscene. Agree to fly away with the rest of the squad. This will unlock the "Fought Demons" achievement. In this case, you will not be able to continue surviving on the island - load the last save or start a new game.
How to get a bad (neutral) ending
Conditions:
- Kelvin - dead or alive (doesn't matter)
- Virginia - dead or alive (doesn't matter)
- You stayed on the island.
To get the "bad" ending of Sons of the Forest, after the final cut-scene, turn away from the helicopter and pick up the backpack from the ground. You will see Timmy and Eric get into the spinner and take off, leaving you and Kelvin on the island. You will get the "Fight Demons" achievement and will be able to continue surviving.
How to get the secret (true) ending
Conditions:
- Kelvin is alive
- Virginia is alive
- You have left the island.
To get this ending, you must gain the trust of Virginia and save the life of all companions, including Kelvin. There is no specific “confidence indicator” in the game, it’s enough just not to attack the girl, and also give her a gun and a shotgun for self-defense. When Virginia's trust is at its maximum, you will receive the "Chivalry Is Not Dead" achievement.
When a friend offers you to sit in a helicopter - agree. The game will be over, and you will get the best ending and the "Keep Your Friends Close" achievement.
