It repeatedly mentioned difficult and very cheating bosses that are difficult to defeat with skill alone. Due to the incoherent difficulty curve and incomprehensible learning system, many players abandoned the game on the first difficult opponent. In addition, the game does not really talk about the "morale" and "reinforcements" systems, and they are primarily the "foundation" of the entire combat system. In this guide, we will offer you useful tips for boss fights. We will show you how to increase the number of healing items and increase health regeneration. With these tips, you will easily defeat the bosses and complete the game without much effort.

How to make boss fights easier in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Explore levels carefully

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has a lot of bosses that are pretty hard to fight. But the players were particularly difficult: the first Zhang Liang, the intermediate Lu Bu, and the final Yu Ji. The rest of the big guys and monsters are quite easy to kill if the player carefully examines the levels, and also activates the combat and signal flags found. The more he finds, the more he will increase the overall strength of his character's spirit. If the strength of the spirit exceeds the level of the boss, then the damage received by the hero will noticeably decrease, and the damage dealt to the enemy, on the contrary, will increase.

Master Your Parrying Skill

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty copies the combat system of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, so success in battle depends in most cases on successful parries and counterattacks. The more effectively you reflect the blows of the boss, the faster it will be possible to deplete his spirit scale. It must be remembered: for an unsuccessful parry, a penalty will be imposed on your hero: - 1 to morale. Hone your parrying skills in a special training location. Usually, after 2-3 successful critical hits, you will be able to deal massive damage to the boss in return with a powerful Fatal Strike attack .

Try an aggressive attack

Just like in Sekiro, you can spam attacks on the boss when he is defending. Attacking aggressively and constantly pressing the boss when he is in a defensive stance is a good way to deplete the spirit bar. After filling the suppression bar, you can perform a fatal blow on the boss and deprive him of one point of morale. In addition, you will gain +1 morale. It doesn’t sound too cool, but in fact, even such an insignificant bonus provides a huge advantage.

Farm morale

In addition to finding battle flags and signal flags, you can boost your morale by taking on common enemies in missions. At each individual location, you will have your own level of spirit, so you will have to constantly farm it before meeting with the next boss. The maximum morale of the main character can reach up to 25 points. Bosses rarely have such a high level, and in most cases, their morale is in the region of 20 points.

In battles with ordinary opponents, watch your own safety and avoid direct collision with three or more enemies at the same time. Due to a poor system of animations and timings, the invaders can spam attacks at the same time, which leads to the rapid death of the protagonist. For death, you will lose morale points, which take a very long time to recover.

No need to look for strong opponents and mini-bosses at the location, since spirit points farm well on weak enemies. Repeating the races over and over again, do not forget to inspect the maps for hidden chests and caches. The resources found will allow you to improve your armor. Also, don't forget to fulfill the ally's oaths to receive additional bonuses.

Do not be afraid that your gameplay will be delayed due to the constant grinding. In most cases, morale naturally rises to 15 points or more by the end of a mission. It takes 15 minutes of grinding to farm extra points and find flags. Believe me, you will spend more time on constant replays in fights with unkillable bosses. At the same time, after death at the hands of the main enemy, you will have to re-run around the location and farm the morale points lost after losing. Of course, you can always restore the morale lost after death from the boss, but only after a successful parry and a fatal attack.

Use reinforcements

If the player fails to block and parry enemy attacks in time, then he should pay attention to the opportunity to call " reinforcements ". You can summon up to two allied NPCs from the battle flag. If you already have one allied NPC, then you can summon another partner. The more often you use this feature, the stronger your allies will become.

For each call, companions will receive an additional point of “ oath of allegiance ”. The more of them, the more aggressive your assistants will be, and will also cause increased damage. To quickly increase the level of the oath, you need to return to the completed levels and call partners on the first battle flag. This way you can fight them more and level them up faster.

Reinforcements work great if you play through magic and ranged weapons. Bosses are distracted by an ally, opening up a window for you to use abilities. Even with the most difficult bosses, reinforcements are great for those players who cannot perfectly master the parry.

You will not be able to constantly use this opportunity, since the number of charges for calling for help is always limited. Try to maintain this ability until the battle with the final boss in the location. Calling in reinforcements only in boss fights is a bad way to level up an oath, but a great way to make the fight easier.

How to pump healing potions and increase their number

Dragon's Healing Potion is a kind of estus flask from Dark Souls. A rechargeable healing vessel that replenishes each time you rest at the battle flag. As with any Souls-like from FromSoftware, these healing items can and should be upgraded. In Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, you can do this through two mod items:

• Dragon Vein Crystal - Increases the total number of healing potions you can carry.
• Dragon Vein Essence - Increases the healing power of each healing flask.

Even with parry skills honed to perfection, you will certainly take damage. In order to last in battles for as long as possible, you need to constantly improve and upgrade Dragon Healing Potion. All upgrades can be found in missions. Most of the items are also found in the main quests, but some can be found during the passage of side quests. Below we will detail where to find them.

Dragon Vein Crystal 1

Mission: "Two heroes-knights". Near the sixth battle flag, enter the Yellow Turban Fortress area, which is located behind the blacksmith. At the entrance to the fortress (yellow flags above) on the right side there is a small utility room. The crystal is at the end of the room.

Dragon Vein Essence 1

Mission: Blazing Yellow Sky. Start searching from the second battle flag. Jump on the ledge opposite the flag and follow the canyon path to the old stone wall with a chest and treasure. It contains essence.

Dragon Vein Essence 2

Mission: Valley of the Weeping Ghosts. From the sixth battle flag, turn around and return along the stone path to the nearest arena, where two demon tigers are patrolling. Nearby is a small temple. The essence is located in the stone wall next to the second tiger demon.

Dragon Vein Crystal 2

Mission: "Yellow Sky Demon Fort" Start your search from the fifth battle flag. Go through the gate to a bonfire with demon enemies patrolling. Go left and enter a small room. There, opposite the entrance, there will be a bench, and on it is a crystal.

Mission: "In Search of the Immortal Wizard". Climb up the stairs from the fourth battle flag and enter a cave with red demonic mud on the stone walls. Keep to the right side and climb the demonic vine. Jump up to get to the golden ledge. Use the extra vines to jump to another ledge. Follow the path into a cave with more vines. Jump on them to get to the last vine with the item.

Mission: Hidden Village. The essence is behind the house, which requires two keys to open. The keys are on two additional tasks.

Mission: "Battle of the Hulaoguan Pass". We start the search from the third battle flag. At a small bridge with wooden spikes, move towards the canyon and jump through the gate with a small wooden tower. Climb another gate next to the tent area and tower. Use the turret to blow up the debris blocking the path up the wooden scaffolding on the opposite side. Once the debris is destroyed, go up to the small chest.

Mission: "Burnt Ages of Glory". In the center of the burning city at the fourth battle flag, climb the white-painted walls all the way to the roof. Turn right and cross the bridge. Mission: "Decisive Battle of Guandu". We start the search from the third battle flag. Next to it, you will see a large additional path through which you can go through the red demonic vines. Follow them to a double door that you can unlock. Continue moving through the vines from the small door to the left and then jump down. Then walk along the ground to the next red vines growing in the left direction. So you get to the arena with an additional boss. Do not go to him immediately and first examine the house that stands nearby. Inside it there is a chest with essence.

How to get strong regeneration and find Dragon Powder

Dragon Healing Powder is an additional healing item that you can use in addition to Dragon Healing Potion. The tool imposes a powerful regeneration effect on the character's health, allowing the player to spam boss attacks and not be afraid of the backlash.

How to get Dragon Healing Powder

You need to reach the third mission of the story campaign to unlock the " Shadow of the Sacred Mountain " side mission.

Let's go on this mission. We look to the right and see the stones. Jump over the rocks to the glowing object. Collect the powder.

From now on, you can constantly return to this place and collect medicine from stones. It appears every time you move over the battle flag. Repeat the move as many times as you need the healing powder.

Once you have the Dragon Healing Powder, select it from the hotbar. Use the medicine before the boss fight.

You can also use regeneration and lifesteal abilities to increase the effect of the healing powder and restore health in a matter of seconds.

Useful Spells:

• Enhanced Defense (Earth): Reduces damage taken and increases durability against the boss' normal attacks. The spell does not save from spiritual and critical attacks. Try to parry them.
• Vitality Absorption (Wood): Vampirism effect. A wonderful ability that enhances regeneration when combined with Dragon Healing Powder.
• Calamity Arrows (Iron): Reduces damage dealt by enemies.
