How to get all weapons in Sons of the Forest

As you explore the island in Sons of the Forest, you'll discover various recipes for crafting equipment and weapons that greatly expand your character's arsenal and allow you to more effectively counter cannibals and monsters. Each weapon has unique characteristics that will give certain advantages in battle.

There are many different weapons in Sons Of The Forest that can be used for ranged or melee combat, so every gamer will find something that best suits his playing style.

Spear (craft)

The spear is a melee or ranged early-game weapon that can be crafted with sticks and tape. Since the spear is made from ordinary branches, you can easily create several items - the weapon does little damage and can get stuck in the enemy, who will run away from you later.

Although the spear is not the best choice for dealing with large groups of cannibals, it is a great option if you are going to hunt animals, while there are no other ranged weapon options available. Javelin throwing will allow you to kill small creatures from a distance - that is, you will not scare away potential prey by getting too close to it. For crafting, you need 1 tape, 2 sticks, and a knife, which is available on a permanent basis.

Bow (craft)

The bow is another (exclusively) ranged weapon that has been available since its launch. To craft it, you need rope branches. It is suitable for hunting animals and killing cannibals. Unlike a spear, you need arrows to use weapons, so you will have to find resources and stock up on this ammunition in advance. Fortunately, arrows, like the bow itself, can be made in the inventory.

While it's a great option for dealing long-range damage in the early stages of the game, it's awkward to aim with a bow. In addition, other ranged weapon variants do much more damage than a kneeling bow. Crafting a bow requires 1 tape, 1 rope, and 2 sticks. A normal arrow is crafted with 2 feathers (dropped by killing birds), 2 small stones, and 2 sticks. The printer can make reinforced arrows. Also, ammunition can occasionally be found in bunkers and dungeons.

tactical ax

The time-honored Tactical Ax is a starting weapon that will be incredibly useful for most of the game. At least in the early stages. You will receive it at the very beginning. This compact black ax can be used for both cutting trees and killing cannibals. Although the Tactical Ax deals the least damage of any ax in the game, its compact size makes it easier to swing with such weapons - they are much faster than other, larger weapons.

Rosomet

To the west is a cave, directly below the pond shown on the map. Move deeper into the cave until you find a case with a cable launcher. Once you pick up the item, use it to get out of the cave.

stun baton

The stun baton is a melee weapon that can be found in the piles of bones scattered throughout the island. This melee weapon deals minimal damage, but additionally stuns enemies with electricity with each hit.

Although you won't be able to quickly kill cannibals with a club, this weapon can be a good option for playing on multiplayer servers. One player must use a club to permanently stun enemies, and everyone else must finish them off with axes and other weapons. Stuck inside a pile of skulls outside, near a cave with a cable launcher.

stun gun

Like a baton, a stun gun works in a similar way. On the other hand, it is a ranged weapon that launches electric charges at enemies. While the projectile does minimal damage, enemies it hits will be temporarily immobilized.

Another great weapon to use on multiplayer servers, is as a skilled shooter will easily stun enemies from a safe distance, while his teammates will finish the target with other weapons.

The shocker can be found in one of the first caves that you will find if you spawn in the northern part of the map. From the spawn point, follow the coast to the bay. Find the entrance to the cave. Get inside and move forward until you find a suspended body from which you can remove the shocker.

Slingshot

modern ax

The Modern Ax is an enlarged version of the Tactical Ax that will be effective at killing enemies and will allow you to cut down trees to build buildings faster. Once you get a modern ax in an abandoned camp, you can use it almost anywhere.

This ax is not only more efficient in terms of harvesting wood, but also deals significantly more damage to enemies. Although the attack speed is slightly slower than the smaller tactical axe, the increased damage makes hand-to-hand combat easier and much safer. Look for weapons in the outdoor cannibal camp, across the stream from the repair mine, where the red key card is located.

Crossbow

Much better than a crafted bow. The crossbow is another ranged weapon that can be used to hit enemies from a safe distance. Consumes the same arrows. Unlike the homemade bow, this weapon has scope for easier aiming and deals more damage.

The crossbow is a great choice for anyone who is stealthy as you fire silently without alerting the rest of the cannibals nearby. In addition, this weapon can be used to silently hunt large game such as deer. This weapon can be found in the same cave as the VIP card (orange key card), in the hydroponics room.

In the same cave where you find the blue key card, the guest, in the nightclub.

Fire axe

The fire ax that can be found in the underground bunker is different from other axes. It is large, painted in red and orange colors, and deals huge damage. Like the other axes on our list, the Fireman is incredibly useful for chopping down trees and will allow you to defend yourself in hand-to-hand combat.

Due to the large size, swinging the weapon is much more difficult and time-consuming compared to the previous two axes, however, you will deal much more damage with each blow. In combination with a stun gun or a club, this ax will allow you to quickly destroy numerous enemy groups. The weapon should be looked for inside the cave with the maintenance personnel key card (red), in a glass box hanging on the wall.

Gun

The pistol, found on a raft off the coast of the island, is one of two firearms that deal massive damage to targets hit. Unlike the same bow, the pistol is equipped with a built-in sight that makes it easier to aim; however, remember to conserve ammo and count each shot.

While the pistol itself is a great weapon, you can find additional attachments and upgrades for this weapon scattered throughout the island. By adding a silencer, you will be able to act covertly. Other upgrades will increase the pistol's versatility or power.

The pistol can be found in two places in the game world (at least). The first and perhaps the easiest place to find this weapon is not far from the coast of the western bay. Standing on the shore of the bay, look at the water and find a raft. Swim to it and climb aboard to find a gun on top of a book on the floor of the raft. Be careful, because the raft is guarded by sharks, which will appear after you climb on it and try to swim back.

Shotgun

While a pistol is much better at dealing damage from a distance, nothing beats a shotgun when it comes to fighting up close. This weapon specializes in taking down enemies in close combat and is perfect for raiding cannibal caves or underground bunkers.

As with the pistol, there are several upgrades that can be found on the island that increase the various characteristics of the shotgun. Regardless of how you play, this weapon is an absolute must as it is the dominant melee weapon. True, you will face a significant shortage of ammunition.

In the northwestern part of the map, you will find a key item, a GPS locator, indicated by a purple marker with an exclamation mark. In this place, use a shovel to dig a grave with a cross. It contains a shotgun.

Revolver

You can find the revolver in the northeastern part of the map, at the excavation site with a golf course, next to the dead worker in the first room.

Machete

Located on an inflatable raft on the shore east of the scuba cave.

katana

The second level green point of interest in the southeast corner of the map.

Hockey stick

You can find some clubs on the golf course in the northeast corner of the map.

Chainsaw

Inside the same cave where you find the blue guest keycard.
