Sons of the Forest: Cheats to duplicate resources and logs (EASY!)

 We show you several tricks that you can quickly put into practice in Sons of the Forest to multiply useful resources and also a lot of logs in a few seconds. They will be of enormous help to you!

Resources and logs are two elements of Sons of the Forest that you are going to need in large quantities throughout your game. The former you will want to have in your inventory to be able to craft items or restore your character's status, while the latter you will need when you want to build your base or shelter.

What you probably don't know is that the game features several cheats that are extremely easy to perform to double or multiply some specific resources and also logs in a few seconds (and no, they are not cheats that are entered from the command console ). If you want to know how to do them in your game, in this entry of our guide we will show you all the details step by step.

• Note: the tricks that we indicate in this article take advantage of certain "glitches" in the game. It is likely that in future updates they will be fixed and cannot be performed. Keep that in mind if they no longer work for you.

How to duplicate resources and useful objects?

In Sons of the Forest, many of the basic resources and objects that you will find on the island can be "duplicated" very easily taking advantage of a little trick. To do this, keep in mind that you will only need to have at least one tarp and a stick in your inventory since you will have to create a tent to be able to save the game.

Well, that being said, to proceed with this trick you just have to follow these steps :

• Look for an area of ​​the island where there are resources that you want to duplicate (such as boxes and briefcases containing batteries, ammunition, cables, tarpaulins, etc...)
• Collect all those resources for your inventory.
• After doing that take out the tarp you are carrying with you and use it to create a tent in that area.
• Save the current game and exit back to the main menu.
• Now reload the game you just saved.

When you re-enter the game you will see that all the resources in the area that were inside boxes, briefcases or trunks will again be available to collect. That is, you can open these boxes again to find the same resources again (or other random ones that the game has decided to generate this time).

Actually, we don't know if this trick is a glitch as such in the game or a design decision by the developers, the fact is that it works from the first moment of the game and you can repeat it as many times as you want to accumulate more and more resources.

As we said at the beginning, not all types of resources can be multiplied in this way, because there are materials that do not appear in boxes such as feathers, sticks, stones, and others... but it can be an excellent way to accumulate fast ammunition, C4 charges, vodka bottles, medicines or food, among others. A good place to spam this cheat is in the helicopter crash zone, for example, or inside the underground bases around the island.

Tricks to duplicate logs

Wood logs can be obtained by chopping down trees with an axe, however, the process is laborious and time-consuming (although you can also ask Kelvin to bring you logs). However, when you want to build a base and different structures, you will find that you need a lot of logs and it can be cumbersome to cut them one by one.

Luckily, the Sons of the Forest community has discovered several tricks to double or multiply logs that can be done very easily and even if you play solo or multiplayer with friends. Here below we will show you how to do them in detail:

1st trick to duplicate trunks in single-player mode

In case you are playing in single-player mode we want to show you up to two different tricks to be able to multiply logs in a few minutes. For the first one you need to have a log and also at least one stick. Do the following:

• Take the trunk in your hands and aim at the ground to place it.
• Immediately afterward, equip yourself with a stick in your right hand.
• Then look at one of the ends of the trunk, you will see an arrow pointing up (like the one in the image).

• Left-click to place the stick under the log at that end.

The result should look like this:

Well, once you have this structure, all you have to do is walk toward the trunk where it is raised. As soon as you touch the trunk with your body, it will fall to the ground and a duplicate of the trunk and also of the stick that held it will be generated. Now you just have to repeat the step of placing the trunk on the ground and lifting it with the stick to throw them again and continue multiplying both elements. Easier impossible.

2nd trick to duplicate trunks in single player mode

The second hack for duplicating logs in single-player is even simpler than the first, and you don't even need to have anything other than the manual you get at the start of the game in your emergency pack. To do so, follow these steps :

• Open the manual and press the X key to change the build mode.
• In the "Shelters" section, select the small wooden cabin.
• Once chosen, you will see the silhouette of the cabin in front of you. Place it where you want.
• After you have placed the hut, move closer to one of the corners and look slightly up.

What you are trying to look for is an angle in which when pressing the C key a button appears like the one you can see in the following image:

If you look at the appropriate angle while you repeatedly press the C key, there will come a time when the button that you can see in the image will appear. When you see it, stay in that spot and hold C to spawn a log out of thin air.

This will create a log that will fall from above towards the ground. Depending on the position you are in, it is possible for the log to hit you when it lands, dealing some damage to your life bar. You can always keep moving to find a different position where the logs won't deal damage to you when they spawn.

Anyway, now you know how this trick works. You can repeat it right away to generate a lot of logs in just a few seconds and, as you can see, you don't need to create the structure of the small log cabin.

Trick to duplicate trunks in multiplayer mode

If you're playing multiplayer, you can try the following trick to duplicate logs (although keep in mind that you'll only be able to do this if you're not the host of the game):

• The first thing you need is to cut a couple of trees to get several logs.
• Pick up the first log and aim at the ground to place it.
• Then take another trunk and place it at one end of the previous one (to form an L on the ground with both).
• Now you have to pick up another log and place it upright at the point where the previous two join.

The result should look like this:

We have added one more trunk to one of the sides, but it is not strictly necessary. With two trunks on the sides and one standing is enough (the ones that we indicate with the arrows). This done, you need to grab one more log in your hands. Then, go to the base of this construction that you have made and look at the ground, at the exact same point that you can see in the following image:

What you have to try is for the white circle to appear on the ground as in our example. When you see this white circle, you can left-click to place the log you're holding there. Actually, the trunk will not be placed in that area, but a duplicate of the trunk you are holding will be generated.

The duplicate log will roll down near your position. Now you can just keep repeating what you just did to generate more and more duplicate trunks. You will not need to continue cutting more trees, just repeat what has been explained and in a few seconds, you will have many trunks without effort.
