We show you where you can get the sled in Sons of the Forest and how to use this tool to move faster around the island.
The sled is one of the main tools available in Sons of the Forest, an essential useful item if you want to progress your exploration of the island and have a better chance of survival. In this entry of our guide, we are going to show you where you can get the sled for your inventory with its detailed location on the game map and we will also explain how exactly it is used to take advantage of it.
How to get a sled?
The sled is one of the first tools you can get in Sons of the Forest and it's pretty easy to get your hands on. You can go to its location from the first moment you start a new game and it is achieved directly thanks to the 3D printers that are on the island.
Then in the following image, we point out the location of the first 3D printer that is available to visit:
The location of this 3D printer will be marked by a green circular icon on your GPS tracker. However, when you get to the place you will see a cave-like entrance, just like this:
Access the underground complex that we have shown you on the map above and proceed through the corridor to the room that you will see illuminated in the background. In this room, there is a 3D printer available to use with resin.
- In this machine, you can create several objects, one of them being the sled that we have come to look for.
- You can choose to make the sled by approaching the printer's computer and switching between the available items with the R key.
- Specifically, the sled costs 1000 ml of resin and takes 20 seconds to create.
- If this is your first time visiting this 3D printer, the machine should have plenty of resin installed, though not enough to create the sled (there is more resin in the room to collect that should do you though).
How to use the sled?
- Look for a place where there is a steep slope (downhill).
- With the sled in hand, he jumps.
- When you're in the air, left-click your mouse.
- Then your character will ride the sled.
