Will the sixth class appear in Diablo 4 and what will it be like?

Diablo 4 is a new part of the legendary series from Blizzard. In March, open beta testing took place, during which anyone could get acquainted with the project. But fans have a question - will there be only five character classes in the final version of the game, or will there be a sixth one? We have devoted this article to this topic.

Where did the information about the sixth character in Diablo 4 come from

During the first beta (March 17-19, 2023), which was only available to Diablo 4 pre-orders, players were offered three character classes - Barbarian, Rogue, and Wizard. During the second beta (March 24-26), Necromancer and others joined them. However, back in December, there were rumors about a sixth-grade character. It was then that the art was published, which depicts not five, but six heroes.

Who will be the sixth character in Diablo 4

Fans have begun to speculate as to who the new character is. It definitely should be different from those five classes that are already presented. Three theories seem to us the most reliable.

First guess. The sixth character class is Templar, Paladin, or Crusader. The exact name depends on the specific style, but the essence is the same. It combines brute strength with holy magic - healing, increasing health, accelerated recovery of skills, and other similar spells. Such heroes met in all parts of the series, with the exception of the very first.

Second, guess. The sixth character class is the Amazon. In ranged combat, she relies on a bow, and in close combat, on a long spear. She was playable in Diablo 2 and the recent re-release of that game.

Third guess. We are talking about a completely new class of characters that was not met in the early parts of the series. Before us is a Half-Angel who combines melee attacks with celestial magic. We saw a similar hero in the commercials for Diablo 3, however, gamers were not allowed to play for them. This theory is largely based on the plot of the new part of the series, which is dedicated to the Fallen Angels.

Note that in this case we are not even talking about a leak, but about the conjectures of fans of the series. Some of them hoped for the appearance of the sixth hero in the beta version of Diablo 4, but this did not happen. We are waiting for official information from Blizzard. A new character class will most likely be announced before release.
