How to assign and use support characters in Honkai: Star Rail

 

During some of the challenges in Honkai: Star Rail, you can use the support characters of your friends or other Pathfinders. If you don't already know how to assign and use such heroes, this guide will help you understand this mechanic.

How to assign a support character

Using support characters is not only a good bonus that will help you defeat serious enemies. Often in daily training, you will meet the task of the mandatory use of such heroes.

In order to assign your own support character, which other players can use (including Pathfinders from your friends list), you need to do the following:

1. Press the "Esc" key on your keyboard. If you play on iOS or Android, just click on the smartphone icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
2. To the right of the character's nickname, click on the three dots to open the additional menu "Pioneer Profile".
3. In the upper right part of the screen, you can track the Support Character block. Click on it and select any hero.

If another player uses your hero and wins the battle, you will receive a small reward. A similar bonus can be obtained up to five times a day. It is worth noting that after receiving 60,000 credits to your account in this way, the character will automatically reset. Therefore, we recommend that you open this page from time to time and check the activity of the hero.

How to use support characters from other players

At the moment, it is known that support characters can be used during the passage of the tests of the Sepals. They are scattered across several locations. For example, one of them can be found on the planet Yarilo-VI, in the Suburban Snowfields region.

You can also track the availability of Sepals through the Interstellar Guide menu ( F4 key on PC) in the Survival Index tab. It is worth noting that in order to complete the tests of the Sepals, you will need to spend a certain amount of Exploration energy.

When you're ready, teleport to the Sepals and interact with him. Set the desired number of tests and press the "Test" button.

On the right side of the screen, you will see the inscription "Support". Click on it to reveal available support heroes nearby or from your friend's list. Heroes of friends are marked with a special icon.

Click Add to replace one of your heroes with a support character, then start the challenge.
