How to find all the little keys and locked chests of drawers in Resident Evil 4 Remake

The location of all the little keys and chests of drawers they open

During the passage of the Resident Evil 4 Remake, you can find 8 small keys with which Leon will be able to open locked chests of drawers and get valuable treasures. Most of these one-use keys can be found in the village during the first third of the game, although some are hidden in the second third as you explore the castle.

All treasures that are hidden in locked chests can be sold to a merchant. Some can be embellished with gems to add value. The more treasures you turn in for the merchant, the more pesetas you get to buy weapons, equipment, upgrades, and so on. In addition, treasures are worth looking for for the reason that there are separate achievements associated with them (there are three achievements, according to which you must find all the treasures in the village, castle, and on the island).

During the passage of Resident Evil 4 Remake, you can find 8 small keys - five in the village and three in the castle. Small Keys are not marked on the map, but you can find most of them by mostly exploring the story areas. If you buy treasure maps from a merchant, markers will appear on the map pointing to locked treasure chests (black and white diamond) - it is highly recommended to save spinels and purchase such cards to make the task easier.

Small key in the valley

After you first meet the merchant in the second chapter, you will need to go to the valley to get the hex key that opens the gate near the abandoned factory. As soon as you get into a valley with many wooden buildings and bridges, jump down and turn left. Walk along the wooden boardwalk. Go down the stairs and turn right to approach the hut ahead. Open the door and turn right to pick up a small key hidden in a case on the shelf.

Shortly after using the first small key, you will reach the village chief's hut, where you can find the second key. Once inside the mansion, go to the southwest corner and pick up the key lying on top of the chest near the window. After that, you will have to break open the closet on the first floor by selecting the three correct images (from left to right - wheat, pig, child). After that, you will receive a crystal ball, with which you can enter the room on the second floor. In the third, move from the headman's mansion to get to the part of the village that you visited earlier in the first chapter. Enter the middle house on the north side and open the locked chest of drawers.

Small key in the fishing village

In the same third chapter, go to the end of the fishing village, where the building is located, in which Leon will find a can of fuel for the boat. Facing the building, turn left and go under the small overhang in the southwestern part of the fish farm. Open the drawer to get a small key.

In the fourth chapter, you will be able to freely use the motorboat to travel to different parts of the village by the lake. To get the next key, take a boat to the Lakeside Settlement, which is located in northwest of this area, in the upper left corner of the lake. Go through the settlement and get to the grate blocking the way to the cave. Use the key with the symbol you should have found in the previous chapter to open the gate and go through the cave. In the depths of the cave, look for another gate that leads to a small room with a dead man and a ladder. Climb the stairs to reach the forest altar. Take the small key from the wagon at the north end of the altar.
