How to get an "S+" rank

You can get the "S +" rank by fulfilling several conditions:

  • Complete the passage in 5 hours;
  • Make no more than 15 saves at the typewriter. Autosaves don't count.
  • Do not use the "New Game +" mode ;
  • You can use weapons and items from the bonus shop.


Chapter 1

If you're playing the game on New Game+, you can shoot the bell in the village to skip the fight scene. To do this, you will need any rifle with a telescopic sight. Climb onto the balcony of the building where the shotgun is located, and shoot approximately in the central part of the tower in the next location. Other weapons will not reach the bell, so if you do not have a rifle, then you will not be able to use this skip.

Further in the game, you will find several template puzzles and another boss - El Gigante. The fastest way to kill him is with a sniper rifle. Shoot the head and the parasite on its back for maximum damage. We also advise you to use grenades when he tries to pick up and throw stones or wooden structures at you.

This skip is your main source of time savings. You can skip bosses and even entire chapters using this technique alone. You won't be able to repeat the pass the first time. It takes a long time to master, but it's worth it.

How it works:

  • Stand with your back as close as possible to the door or stairs;
  • Aim and look at the floor using the scope of the sniper rifle;
  • Take a couple of steps back to make sure you're as close to the subject as possible;
  • Release the aim button while holding the back button. At this point, you need to sharply turn the mouse to the right or left to hook on the object with which you want to interact, and also press the interaction button.
If you can’t, then in the mouse settings you should increase the DPI parameter almost to the maximum, so that the camera turns the hero 180 degrees from a small movement.

Note: If you found a place where you can use the skip, but we didn’t tell you about it, then it doesn’t work or breaks the level in the future. By making too many skips, you can break the game and your current save.

If everything is done correctly, at the moment the door opens, Ashley will come out of the locker and start running toward you. Just follow forward, she will teleport to you a little later.

You can open the next grate in the same way by throwing a grenade in the right place. The most convenient way to do this is through a vertical window, but you have the right to throw it through the bars, as last time.

How to avoid the fight with Vertugo

The most effective way is to kill him using a rocket launcher. But when going through the game at speed, you may not have extra pesetas. If you do not plan to vacuum the locations and do not want to enter into an open confrontation with the boss, then you can use the following method. After turning on the power, activate the nitrogen spray system and freeze Vertugo.

Run to the elevator, ignoring everything else. Stand with your back to the grate and, taking the optics, take a step back. This way, you will end up with one foot in the textures, so Vertugo will not be able to attack you.

This position must be maintained for 3 minutes. When the timer ends, a cutscene will start.

The next skip will save not so much time as nerves. In a normal playthrough, you would have to turn 2 valves and fight several regenerators. You can throw flash grenades or try to eliminate all enemies in other ways, but it will be easier to use the scope: you also hold the button back, and aim, but when you release the scope, you move forward instead of rotating the mouse.

You have the last fight with the boss, so you can sell absolutely the entire inventory. You will need one rocket launcher to skip the first phase, as well as a high-caliber Killer7 pistol with max damage and 9 rounds (one will come in handy during the final escape).
