ARMORED CORE 6: ALL BOSSES AT A GLANCE AND HOW TO DEFEAT THEM

FromSoftware's latest action game, Armored Core 6, features some tough combat. We show you an overview of all bosses and how to defeat them.

Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon (AC6) is the latest action game from FromSoftware. The Japanese development studio is best known for its challenging boss fights in games like Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Bloodborne. But you can expect some tough fights in AC6 as well.

You can see which bosses await you in Armored Core 6 in the following overview. The bosses are also listed in the order in which you encounter them in the game.

AH12HC Helicopter

AH12HC Helicopter

What is this boss? The HC Helicopter is, as the name suggests, a large and heavily armed helicopter that awaits you right at the beginning of the game as a tutorial boss at the end of the first mission.

How do you defeat the HC helicopter? The flying monster is armed, among other things, with a rocket launcher, with which it is particularly dangerous over long distances and can dish out high levels of splash damage.

You should therefore use the various cover options to try to get as close to the helicopter as possible so as not to be constantly busy dodging.

On top of that, you should try to fill the meter that is above the boss's life bar. If the meter is full, you deal more damage. To fill the meter, you must perform successful attacks. According to the YouTuber “Born 2 Game”, the meter fills up particularly quickly thanks to your melee attack.

You should also remain as mobile as possible throughout the fight. Avoid standing in one place and shooting at the helicopter with your ranged weapons - it will punish you mercilessly.

HA-T-102 Juggernaut

HA-T-102 Juggernaut

What kind of boss is this? The Juggernaut is a huge tracked tank that has a massive steel shield on the front that makes most of your weapons look old. As if that weren't enough, the Juggernaut aims to dismember you with explosive attacks or simply run you over.

How do you defeat the Juggernaut? From behind. Since you can hardly do any damage to the tank from the front, you should try to get behind it. The best way to do this is to jump over him and land behind him.

With two shotguns or two rocket launchers you can then effectively try to fill the stagger bar above the boss's life bar in order to deal more damage. Alternatively, YouTuber “Oroboro” recommends using two plasma rifles, the Vvc-760PR, as they deal high damage.

AA P07 Balteus

AA P07 Balteus

What is this boss? Balteus is once again a flying and very mobile enemy who has a shield that protects him from your attacks and is controlled by a mech in the middle. He also attacked with missile fire in phase 1 (more than 50% health) and with a flamethrower in phase 2 (less than 50% health).

How do you defeat Balteus? Against Balteus you should try again to act at close range. In addition to your melee attack, shotguns are also available here. As soon as you have “destroyed” Balteus’ shield, it is temporarily deactivated. Meanwhile, you can fill the bar above the life bar to block the boss's attacks and deal increased damage yourself.

EC-0804 Smart Cleaner

EC-0804 Smart Cleaner

What kind of boss is this? The Smart Cleaner is not a vacuum robot that helps you clean your apartment, but a huge machine with glowing arms.

How do you defeat the Smart Cleaner? The easiest way to defeat the Smart Cleaner is to hover in the air for as long as possible, avoiding his dangerous ground attacks. It can be helpful to attack from a greater distance and avoid being backed into a corner. When attacking, aim primarily at the glowing opening on the top of the Smart Cleaner.

IA-13 Sea Spider

IA-13 Sea Spider

What kind of boss is this? The spider-like machine is an enemy that you must defeat at the end of Chapter 2 and that will torment you with a variety of different attacks.

Twitch streamer Asmongold has also fought against the Sea Spider. After suffering one defeat after another for four hours, he even ended the stream.

How do you defeat the Sea Spider? In the fight with the Sea Spider, you should again try to fight at close range and be as agile as possible. You have to move a lot and quickly and jump as often as possible. You should also try to circle the Sea Spider with your jumps. Both help to avoid the boss's dangerous attacks.

AA-602 CATAPHRACT

AA-602 CATAPHRACT

What kind of boss is this? The CATAPHRACT is a tracked armor controlled by a mech in the middle of the construct and comes with a huge arsenal of various weapons.

In addition, the CATAPHRACT is surprisingly fast and particularly dangerous at long distances. Since the fight takes place in an open area without many cover options, the CATAPHRACT can make ideal use of its speed and its powerful ranged armament.

How do you defeat the CATAPHRACT? When fighting the CATAPHRACT, you should try to keep the distance between you and the steel monster as short as possible.

When you are close, focus your attacks on the mech in the center of the CATAPHRACT, This is its weak point and gives you the opportunity to fill the stagger gauge above the health bar so that you can then deal more damage.

IA-02: Ice Worm

IA-02: Ice Worm

What kind of boss is this? The Ice Worm is a monstrous electronic worm that you fight in a snowy wasteland. As in Dune, the mechanical beast burrows into the ground, shoots out of the snow and attacks you with its huge maw.

How do you defeat the Ice Worm? Observe your surroundings to see when and where the worm is attacking, then avoid its attacks. Otherwise, all you have to do is shoot the worm in the face with the tranquilizer needle launcher (VE-60SN).

In the third phase, the worm can even shoot rockets. You should be able to avoid them too with fairly simple maneuvers.

AA P03: Enforcer

AA P03: Enforcer

What is this boss? The Enforcer is a comparatively unspectacular mech that you can fight in a mission in Chapter 4.

How do you defeat the Enforcer? You don't need any special action against the Enforcer. You can challenge him at both short and long ranges, although you should be careful of his blade attack.

IB-01: CEL 240

IB-01: CEL 240

What kind of boss is this? CEL 240 is a small and very fast mech that awaits you in Chapter 4 and has two life bars. He attacks with various laser attacks as well as blades with which he can also shoot projectiles.

How do you defeat CEL 240? When fighting a fast boss, you should definitely keep moving and avoid dangerous attacks. In addition, the YouTuber “Kibbles Gaming” has presented a build with which you first stun CEL 240 and then deal damage.

The main components of the build are two Gatling guns (DF-GA-OB-HU-BEN) on your arm units and two tranquilizer needle launchers (VE-60SN), which you already used in the fight with the Ice Worm, on the back unit.

If you then use both stun needle launchers at the same time, the boss is immediately stunned for a short time, giving you time to deal damage. It is a good idea to fire the stun needle when he is preparing a serious attack.

The last three bosses affect the end of the game, if you don't want to get spoilers about them, you should read no further from here.

IB-C03: HAL 826

IB-C03: HAL 826

What kind of boss is this? HAL 826 is the name of the mech that awaits you in one of the endings of Armored Core 6. However, we don't want to give you any spoilers as to who controls it.

How do you defeat HAL 826? The HAL 826 is very fast, agile, and has powerful attacks that will make life difficult for you. Accordingly, you want to be similarly fast and agile to fight against him at short to medium distances.

If you're close enough, you can try to stun him with the stun needle launchers. Then you want to cause as much damage as possible.

IB-07: SOL 644

IB-07: SOL 644

What is this boss? Sol 644 is the boss of the second possible ending you can experience in Armored Core 6. This is once again a very fast and agile enemy who will put you under pressure with laser attacks and a huge blade.

In addition, Sol 644 has a constantly regenerating shield that is intended to make it more difficult to fill the stagger gauge (above the generic health bar).

How do you beat SOL 644? When Sol 644 attacks with his blade, he fires a projectile that deals massive damage and is difficult to dodge. To avoid losing a lot of life points, you should jump over the projectile of the blade attack.

Ideally, you want to deal as much damage as possible in one hit during a counterattack if you get ahold of the nimble boss.

Allmind

Allmind

What kind of boss is this? You can unlock a third ending in Armored Core 6 via "New Game ++" in which you fight against Allmind - yes, you really have to play through the game three times.

Not only does Allmind come with fast and dangerous attacks, he also brings two life bars as well as his own companions into the already difficult fight.

How do you defeat Allmind? Basically, you have to perfect what the game has already asked you to do in other boss fights: try to stay close to the enemy and stay mobile while avoiding taking too much damage in flight. Ideally, you will hover just above Allmind.

When it comes to armament, Gatling guns and tranquilizer needle launchers can be useful. While you can effectively deal a lot of damage at short range with the Gatling guns, the stunning needle launchers are suitable for briefly stunning Allmind.
