Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023): How to play with a 3rd person camera?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023) is this year's new installment of Activision's FPS saga and, as such, its gameplay once again offers us intense and adrenaline-packed games with a first-person camera. However, in this title, it is also possible to play with a third-person camera, although with limitations, as also happened in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 (2022) ...

Why do we say this? Well, because the third-person camera is only enabled, at least at launch, for the Zombies mode of this installment. If you don't know how to configure it or what to do to activate it, in this entry of our guide we will tell you in detail.

How to activate the third-person camera in Zombies mode?

To be able to play with a third-person camera in CoD: Modern Warfare 3 (2023) you must necessarily go to the multiplayer Zombies mode of this installment. This is the only game mode of the title that allows you to play in 3rd person officially, at least at its launch.

Once in Zombies mode, you must start a game to jump to the open world of Urzikistan where this mode takes place, and be able to change the camera.

  • Once a Zombies game has started, press the "Pause" button on your controller or the "Esc" key on your PC.
  • Among the menu options, you will see the first one that says "Switch to a third person".
  • Select this option and your camera will automatically be in the third person, behind your character.

By default, the game is configured to be viewed in first person, but you can do what we have explained to change the camera whenever you want. The process is the same on all platforms and also switch between first and third person as many times as you want.
