How to play with friends?
To play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023) with your friends, you just have to follow a few simple steps that we indicate below:
- From any mode menu in CoD Modern Warfare 3 you can access the global panel menu and enter the "Social" function (by default you find this by pressing the "Options" button ).
- Once in the Social menu, go above your current group and in the box that says "Invite players".
- Press X (on PS) or A (on Xbox) to invite players who are online.
- This will open a list of your friends so you can send them an invite to your group.
- Send the invitations to your friends and wait for them to join.
Of course, there are many more ways to invite friends to your group. Alternatively, from the "Social" menu you can go down to the "Friends" section and search one by one for the files of your friends whom you want to invite to your group. Additionally, from the "Channels" tab you can configure the settings of your current group to determine the level of privacy, that is, if you want only friends to be able to join the group, or if it is open to any player in the world, for example.
Finally, remember that in the PlayStation or Xbox console versions of CoD Modern Warfare 3, you will need to have an active subscription to PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold to be able to play online (on PC, having an internet connection will be more than enough).
What happens if your friends play from another platform?
If your friends play CoD Modern Warfare 3 from another platform other than yours, you can still play together without any problem. This is because the game has active cross-play for all its platforms; PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. That is, it has cross-platform support.
How to add new friends?
Adding new friends to your Activision account is very easy and can be done directly from within CoD Modern Warfare 3 (2023), following the same steps as in previous games in the series.
For example, if you play on consoles you will be able to see the list of friends from your PlayStation or Xbox account, but you can also add more friends with your associated Activision account.
To do this, do the following:
- Once in the game go to the "Social" menu through the global panel.
- In this default menu, you will see as the first option the box that says "Add friend" .
- You will need to enter your friends' account ID and tag in order to add them.
- Activision IDs include a hash number followed by several numbers, such as "VisibleName#1234567".

How to create private games?
