Guide to monsters in Lethal Company (bestiary): description of how to kill and run away from monsters

Lethal Company is a new cooperative horror game set on distant planets and moons. As you progress through the game you will meet various monsters. They have strengths and weaknesses, so they require an individual approach. In this guide, we'll show you how to defeat each of them.

While exploring distant planets and their satellites, you are guaranteed to encounter monsters of various types that live. Among them, there are both harmless creatures and extremely dangerous creatures. In this guide, we've compiled the complete Lethal Company bestiary. Thanks to it, you will learn how to calculate the type of monster, including by sound, how to kill them, and which of the enemies are immortal.

Please note: the game is in early access, so monster abilities may change over time. If this happens, we will update the guide.

Harmless monsters

In this category, you will find various creatures that do not pose a threat to players. You can kill them, but there is no point in doing so. Just ignore.

Manticoil

Manticoil

Ordinary birds. They do not attack players and scatter to the sides as soon as you get close.

Roaming Locusts

Roaming Locusts

Small groups of insects can be found on any planet and roam the surface. They are afraid of players, so they try to stay away from them.

Monsters that attack back

These aliens never attack first, but will defend themselves if you hit them or get too close.

Hoarding Bug

Hoarding Bug

Loot collectors. You can try to take the loot found by the monsters for yourself, but in this case, the beetles will attack the hero. Let us note that they do not pose any particular threat.

Spore Lizard

Spore Lizard

Despite the creepy appearance of this monster, it is not dangerous. If you get close, the lizard may bite you and release a cloud of smoke through which nothing can be seen. In this case, you will have to quickly run away.

Baboon Hawk

Baboon Hawk

Strong birds that mind their own business and pose no threat to you. However, they can become aggressive if you get within striking distance of them.

Hygrodere

Hygrodere

A turquoise puddle of goo that dissolves everything like acid. You won't be able to kill her, but it won't be difficult to get around her either. If desired, Hydroder can be distracted by music.

Circuit Bee

Circuit Bee

As a rule, they live near the hive and will attack you only if you approach their “home”. However, the hive can be sold at a profit, so you will probably want to disturb the bees. We recommend being smart and following our recommendations:

  • Agree to start a bee hunt with one player or a group of gamers. You will distract the insects towards yourself, and your allies will approach the hive and take it away. Or vice versa.
  • After you steal the hive, the bees will go into an aggressive state and start flying around the planet and stinging everyone. Therefore, it is recommended to hunt them before you leave the satellite.

Aggressive (deadly) monsters

Aliens that purposefully attack players regardless of your actions. Some of them attack immediately, while others set traps, wait in ambush, or attack from behind.

Bracken

Bracken

A creature vaguely reminiscent of a human. It hides in the darkness and tries to attack from behind. You can identify it by its glowing eyes. If you look directly at them, the monster will retreat. The Librarians behaved in a similar way in the game Metro 2033. However, if eye contact is prolonged, Bracken will launch an attack. Therefore, it is better to limit yourself to a short glance and then run away. But hurry up, because this alien moves at great speed.

Coil-Head

Coil-Head

Another monster to look into. But in his case, it is important not to look away, otherwise, he will kill the player. In the battle with the Reel Heads, flash-noise grenades will help you.

Snare Flea

Snare Flea

These aliens are ambushing you on the ceiling. As soon as you are under them, they will jump on the player and try to strangle you. In this case, it is advisable to have an ally help you. If the flea fails to kill the player, they will chase and attack the player. But when the surprise effect wears off, the monsters will no longer pose much of a threat. In this case, you can run away from them or engage in open battle.

Bunker Spiders

Bunker Spiders

Like fleas, they love to set traps. Spiders set up webs and wait for an unlucky traveler to fall into them. It can be cut, but after that, the arachnids are guaranteed to attack you. They only need to strike a few times to defeat the player. It is advisable to first blind the spider with a flash-noise grenade, and only then attack it. And it’s better to completely bypass the arthropod’s habitat.

Thumpers

Thumpers

Deaf creatures that can be identified by their disgusting sound. However, if they notice you, they will chase you until they kill you. If you can’t get around them from the side, try to climb to a higher ground. If you had to retreat, suddenly change direction while moving. In many cases, Thumper will continue to run forward due to inertia.

Jester

Jester

The fight with this monster consists of three phases. In the first one, he chases the player but does not attack. On the second, to the accompaniment of exciting music, preparations for the attack begin. In the third stage, a skull flies out of the Jester, which instantly kills the player if it hits him. The cycle will repeat until you leave the planet. We recommend not taking risks, but retreating to the spaceship during the first phase.

Girl

Girl

Under this harmless name hides an extremely dangerous mutant. He sees and attacks only one person, but other players will not be able to help the ally. Therefore, as soon as you see the Girl, return to the spaceship and fly away from the planet. Otherwise, she is guaranteed to kill your partner or you.

Eyeless Dog

Eyeless Dog

An extremely dangerous predator that hunts only at night. If he notices you, he will call the whole flock for help. Purely theoretically, you can get rid of dogs, but it is extremely difficult to do, especially in the early stages. Moreover, monsters can ambush players, including on your ship. To prevent this from happening, do not forget to close the door.

Forest Keeper

Forest Keeper

A huge night monster that looks like a large tree. If you notice him in the forest, freeze and wait for him to turn away. There is no use fighting him. When the Guardian starts looking the other way, return to the ship as quickly as possible.

Earth Leviathan

Earth Leviathan

Underground giant. It can only be detected on a computer at night. Before the monster appears on the surface, the signal will become stronger and a loud noise will be heard. If you hear it, run to the spaceship as fast as you can and fly away. Leviathan is immortal and kills all players who did not manage to leave the planet.
