Two of the most important aspects you should know about horses in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is that through a very special character, you can both improve the statistics of your mounts and revive those that have died on your travels.

This is something that was already available in Breath of the Wild and was done through the horse deity called Malanya. Of course, in Tears of the Kingdom, this deity has returned, but if you don't know where to find it or how to unlock its useful functions, we will tell you in this entry of our complete guide.

Where to find the deity of horses? (Location)

In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom the horse deity Malanya can be located in a location on the surface of Hyrule. This is its position on the map:

As you can see, the Malanya Fountain is located at coordinates 4291, 3195, and 0149 (its appearance from a distance is similar to that of a Great Fairy Fountain ).

To make it easier for you to locate it, it is in the Akkala region (northeast of Hyrule), in the heart of Akkala, which is located north of the East Akkala Post Office and quite close to the Ioqi'ui Shrine. We recommend unlocking this shrine so you can fast-travel to its location whenever you want later.

How to unlock Malanya?

The first time you visit Malanya when interacting with the enormous cocoon in which the deity is located, it will ask you for exactly one spirited carrot to wake up and go outside.

• Therefore, you will need to deliver a Spirited Carrot to Malanya to unlock her features.
• Spirited Carrots can be obtained as a natural resource for example around other great fairy fountains or at the top of Mount Satoly , west of Hyrule Plain.
• You can get a guaranteed Spirited Carrot for completing The Pirate Menace .
• You can also get up to 6 Spirited Carrots as a reward for increasing your Equestrian Guild Points (upon reaching 50 and 60 points respectively).

When you give the spirited carrot to Malanya it will come out of the cocoon and will be available from then on whenever you want it. You will only have to visit it to be able to use its functions.
