Raw and JJK Chapter 241 Spoilers: Takaba vs Kenjaku, who is funnier?
Chapter 241 of the Jujutsu Kaisen series begins with a flashback of Takaba while he was still in college.
Young Takaba scolds his friend for being late, as they both have to host a show. Takaba begins to rehearse his role, but his friend forgets his lines.
Takaba starts yelling at his friend and implies that he doesn't feel regret; instead, he should apologize. Takaba's friend loses patience and yells at him, because Takaba is so unfriendly towards him.
After their argument, Takaba becomes angry with his friend, who blames Takaba for being late to rehearsal. None of them even manage to host two shows a year, and their jokes become stale for reuse.
Moments later, Takaba hits his friend when the latter asks him if he is jealous of not being famous among girls. Takaba responds that he is talking about seriousness in comedy, and his friend belittles him by saying that doing comedy with Takaba is not fun.
The scene changes, and we see Takaba with an afro reading comments about him. One of the comments encourages him to die, and his friend consoles him by explaining that it is impossible to make everyone laugh.
Once again, the scene changes, and his friend is still talking about leaving comedy. His friend explains how their other friends have decent jobs and families, while they continue to fail at acting.
After their conversation, Takaba is seen alone in his room, wishing to become more regular on TV shows for sketches. Remembering what his friend said, Takaba wonders, "Until when?" he will continue like this.
Takaba won't stop until everyone finds him funnier than he looks. Remembering that he was lonely, he tried to be funny as much as possible to make everyone laugh. Takaba was happy to have many friends but never found a partner.
Finally revealing his determination, Takaba wants others to recognize him, as more popularity is proportional to more fun. He would no longer feel alone once he is recognized. Suddenly, we are greeted by a child version of Takaba, who wonders why he chose comedy. Takaba finally realizes that he has always tried to assert himself, and he has never been in the face of comedy.
Returning to the present, we see Takaba bowing to Kenjaku. Watching him bow, Kenjaku is mesmerized by his dogeza. Kenjaku finds this magnificent, and he was in his twenties when he reached this level of dogeza. After a few seconds, Takaba loudly apologizes to Kenjaku. Takaba lied, and since he wanted to make everyone laugh, it wasn't enough if he only made Kenjaku laugh.
The chapter ends with Takaba promising to make Kenjaku laugh until he vomits, which is how he designs his comedy. Takaba finally regains his cursed technique and writes "Waku Waku" on Kenjaku's face.
