Mahito dead in season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen?
Warning: big spoiler ahead, Mahito will indeed die in season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. More precisely in episodes 19 to 20 during his fight against Yuji and Nobara, his natural enemies. At the end of his fight, he will be very weakened, and pseudo-Geto, known as Kenjaku, will absorb the scourge, Mahito, to obtain his soul transfiguration powers.

While he thought he was an ally who came to help him, he was "betrayed" by Kenjaku who has no respect for anyone. Mahito found himself in a very complicated situation with the arrival of Todo, in addition to not being able to use his territory extension because of Sukuna who would have eliminated him. He still managed to destroy one of Todo's hands, which will prevent him from using his innate occult technique in the future.
Despite this failure, he found the original form of his "soul" and had quite a power-up before being defeated by Yuji, Todo, and Nobara, then absorbed by Kenjaku.
