Max Level in CoD Modern Warfare 3: Everything about the level cap and prestige

 What level can you currently reach in Modern Warfare 3 and when does Prestige come? We have answers.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was released a few days ago. But even that is enough time for the first people to ask themselves: What is the highest level and where is my prestige rank?! If you're one of them, you'll find all sorts of answers to your questions about the level cap here.

What is the highest level?

As before, in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 you can upgrade both your own rank and your weapons. However, while weapons have different levels depending on the type (between 15 and 30), there is a hard upper limit for players. It currently looks like this.

The max level is 55

That doesn't sound like much compared to Modern Warfare 2, where the current maximum level is 1250. But Modern Warfare 3 has only just been released.

Does the maximum level increase?

As with its predecessor, you can assume that the level limit will be gradually raised. With each new season, the highest level is usually increased. The first season for Modern Warfare 3 starts in December, and the maximum level will be increased then at the latest.

Is there a prestige system?

No. At least not yet. Currently, after reaching the highest level, you cannot simply continue increasing your Prestige Rank. However, it won't stay that way. If you want to achieve a new prestige level, you will have to wait until Season 1 is released. The season starts in December and the system will then be in its luggage.

How does Prestige work?

The Prestige system will most likely retain the same format as its immediate predecessors. This time too, no ranks will be reset once you have reached the maximum level. Instead, we continue straight to the prestige level. So as soon as you reach level 56, you have achieved Prestige 1. Then you level another 50 levels to advance to Prestige 2.

In Modern Warfare 2, the first season introduced 5 prestige ranks and raised the maximum level to 250. It is very likely that Sledgehammer Games will repeat the whole thing.
