Raw and spoilers for One Piece chapter 1099: The creation of the pacifistas revealed, Vegapunk treats Bonney!

The chapter begins where the previous one ended. King Bekori learned of the actions of the king of the Kingdom of Goa (burning down the "Grey Terminal") and decided to replicate these actions in the Kingdom of Sorbet, burning villages and repressing protesters. Unable to tolerate this, Kuma destroyed the palace and defeated King Bekori, thus starting what would later be called the "Individual Sorbet Revolution" . Shortly after, in Mary Geoise, Saint Saturn learned of the existence of a new king in the Kingdom of Sorbet.

Compelled by the will of the people, Kuma becomes king of the Sorbet Kingdom, although he continues to reside in the church. In reality, the effective king is Bulldog, the monarch of two previous generations. Bonney, by accident, consumes the "Toshi Toshi no Mi" in Sorbet Kingdom, transforming her appearance into an adult, the same one she has in the present. This creates a comical situation where everyone mistakes her for Ginny.

Facing Bekori and his marine fleet, Kuma engages in a battle where he sinks the enemy ships, although Bekori's fate remains uncertain. Kuma travels the world in search of a cure for Bonney's disease, visiting various islands, including those where he had sent the Straw Hat crew during the Sabaody Incident. He meets Dragon on the ship "Wind Granma" and learns that several revolutionary commanders have been captured.

Belo Betty asks Kuma for permission to become Commander of the Eastern Army, a condition set by Dragon. Kuma agrees, and Dragon informs Kuma that Vegapunk can cure Bonney. Kuma, desperate to save Bonney, goes to Egghead Island with her, where Vegapunk offers a solution: Kuma must become the host of an army of clones, who will become Marines. In exchange, he will cure Bonney for free.
