Getting S Rank in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is easier than it seems. As part of our complete guide, here you will see what you need to do in all the missions.

S rank in Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, how to get it?

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon, like almost all previous installments in the saga, includes a rank system for the missions you complete. The highest is the S Rank, which shows that you have completely mastered that mission. Getting it is easy if you know what you are doing. Here we are going to explain how it is achieved and what is the best build to do it almost effortlessly.

How do you get S Rank?

To get the S Rank, first of all, you have to keep in mind that ranks are not achieved during the story. You will only get ranks when you go to Raid > Replay Mission. That way, when finished, a screen will appear with the rank obtained.

On that screen, you can see some values that influence obtaining the S Rank, but there are two hidden values. This is all that counts towards the S Rank.

  • Bonus Pay: If the mission has bonus objectives and you complete them, the average for S Rank increases.
  • Expenses: The lower the repair and ammo costs, the higher the average for S Rank. As a general rule, the less maximum ammo a weapon has, the more expensive its ammo is.
  • Penalties: If you have to repeat from a checkpoint, you are penalized and it is impossible to achieve S Rank.
  • Time: This value is hidden. The shorter the time, the higher the score to average and achieve S Rank.
  • Used Repair Kits: This value is hidden. The less you use, the higher your average score will be. Yes, you can get S Rank using repair kits.

With all this in mind, you have to keep in mind that an average is made of all the values that we indicate and the idea is to compensate so that everything is above normal. That is, if you move at full speed and complete all the bonus objectives of a mission, the repair costs may not prevent you from achieving S Rank. Some say that if you use repair kits you cannot achieve S Rank, but it is not true. It is achieved without any problem using a repair kit, as long as you move quickly. In fact, it is possible to have Terminal Armor (you resurrect with 1 AP once per mission), use 1 repair kit and still get S Rank. It's a matter of maintaining a high average.

Bonus Objectives are not 100% mandatory at all. For example, in the mission to destroy fuel depots at an ACP base, you can completely ignore this objective and go straight to the end, as long as you move fast enough. Take into account the values you get at the end of your mission and, if you see that one could be improved without affecting the time too much, focus on that.
