The Sims 4 recently adopted the Free-to-Play model, allowing players to access a base version of the game for free. This provides a great opportunity for those who want to explore the Sims universe without an upfront financial commitment. This time, We'll explain how to move in The Sims 4.


How to move in The Sims 4?

Step 1: Access world management

Once you are in the household you want to move to, follow these steps:

  • Click on the “ … ” icon located at the bottom right of the screen.
  • Select " Manage Worlds " from the menu that opens.
  • In the new window, choose “ Household Management ” which is located at the top right of your screen.

Step 2: Select the household to move


In the household management menu, you will see all the households in your game. Select the family you want to move.

  • A household information panel will appear.
  • In the bottom right corner, you will have 4 options: " Edit in CUS ", "Move Household to Lot ", " Transfer Sims Between Households ", and " Delete Household ".

Step 3: Choose the moving option


  • To move a specific Sim, select “ Transfer Sims Between Households ”. A new window will open.
  • You can move Sims from your household, have Sims from other households move into your home, or create an entirely new household by clicking on a Sim on the left and selecting "Create New Household." Once your Sim has been moved to the right, validate so that your Sim leaves its original home.
  • You can also merge two households by following the same procedure with all Sims. Once completed, the game will ask you if you want to sell the furniture from the left side household or transfer it to the merged household.

Step 4: Move to new land


  • To move your Sim to another lot, select the desired household.
  • Click on “Move the household onto land”.
  • Choose the desired location on the map for your household's new residence.
  • Validate your choice, and your Sim or family will move into the new land.
