Karkass Baldur's Gate 3: Where to find him and how to defeat him?

In BG3, you will certainly have the main quest which will occupy you, but also many secondary missions, notably in Act 3 at Baldur's Gate. It is also one of the latter that will interest us, the one linked to Karkass, the mummy.

Where to find Karkass in Act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3?

To start this Baldur's Gate 3 quest, the first thing to do will be to meet Karkass. To do this, you will need to have reached Act 3 of the game but also have managed to enter Baldur's Gate. Once this is done, you will have to go to the level of the house indicated on the map below.

Enter the house and you will find yourself facing what appears to be a mummy. The latter will speak to you and ask you for a favor. In fact, one of his employees decided to run away and even stole it . He then asks you to find him.

Normally, you should have some doubts about this character, but for the moment we advise you to accept this job and go in search of Thrombus. In this way, you will be able to learn more about Karkass and his actions.

Go in search of Thrombus

Thrombus is fairly easy to find as long as you know where to look. To do this, you will have to go to the level of the house that we have indicated to you on the map. Be careful because the first time you arrive on the beach, a surprise attack will take place.

It has nothing to do with this mission, but you will still have to get rid of the enemies that just burst out of the sea before you can continue. Once they are killed, head towards the house, and upon entering you will see that it is empty.

This is normal, don't panic and head to the room's wardrobe instead. Open it and you will see a zombie coming out. It's the famous Thrombus that you're looking for, so don't attack him and instead talk to him who will have things to teach you.

He will reveal to you that Karkass is indeed a mummy and that he was killed by the latter and resurrected to serve him. When one of his friends rebelled and killed Karkass, the latter got up and killed him, and that's why he fled. He then asks you to help him kill the latter. We advise you to accept.

Find the jars and defeat Karkass

We will now have to find the four jars which ensure the immortality of Karkass. The first is at the point indicated to you on the map, the cemetery morgue. Be careful though because it is a restricted area and it is better to be discreet.

Then go into the sewers to the location we indicated to you. You will enter a room with zombies that you must defeat and a new jar. Be careful because a second is hiding there! In fact, go to the right wall and you will discover a secret room. In the latter will be the third jar and a clue to the fourth.

This was placed in Thrombus' body, which explains why Karkass was so keen for you to find him. So go back to him so he can give you the fourth and final jar. Once it is destroyed, return it to our friend Karkass.

We might as well tell you that the latter will not really appreciate you destroying his jars and he will attack you. Once the fight is won, you will be able to recover his staff and his armor, as well as the crypt lord ring from Thrombus.
