Masamichi Yaga dead in season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen? What does the future hold for him?

Warning, major spoiler ahead: Yaga is dead! Yaga was blacklisted by Jujutsu authorities following the Shibuya incident, leading to an execution warrant being issued against him. Rather than being related to his involvement in the Shibuya Incident, the death sentence was primarily attributed to Yaga's cursed technique and his ability to create completely autonomous artificial cursed corpses. In the past, he had already been captured by the authorities for the same reason.

Since the execution order was issued, Yaga had holed up in a forest protected by the Tengen Barrier, also hiding his entirely unrelated cursed corpses there. Nevertheless, the authorities decided to use Panda as bait to set a trap for Yaga.

By capturing Panda to attract Yaga, the latter, knowingly, chose to play the game. He then took leave of his cursed corpses before going to the meeting place with Panda. However, he was greeted by a new figure aligned with the authorities and Principal Gakuganji. The details of the clashes were deliberately omitted, exposing us directly to the end result: Yaga lying gravely injured in front of Gakuganji.

For manga aficionados who struggle to accept this turn of events, the idea that Yaga transferred her life essence into one of her cursed corpses seems like an implausible, if not non-existent, prospect .
