Enshrouded crashes on startup or black screen - what to do?

Enshrouded is a fairly demanding game, so be sure to ensure your system meets the minimum system requirements. If this is not the case, then you will most likely be able to run the game, but you will not be able to create a world.

Usually, it all comes down to a lack of random access memory (RAM). You can try increasing the page file on the system to work around the problem:

• Open “System” - “About the system”;
• Click "Advanced options";
• In the “Advanced” tab, click “Performance”;
• Go again to the “Advanced” tab and in the “Virtual memory” item click “Change”;
• Select the drive (preferably SSD) and set the values ​​to 8048 and 16096;
• Click “Apply” and “OK”;
• Restart your PC.

If the problem persists, you will have to upgrade your computer components to run Enshrouded. Please note that the game is in early access, so various bugs and glitches occur in the game. Often your hero will get stuck in different textures. For example, if you climbed into the locked basement of a destroyed house, but you can’t get out or you don’t have a pickaxe in your inventory, use the following tips:

• Find and break wooden obstacles. This is the simplest tip that will help you in most cases. However, it also happens that the same doors or wooden partitions simply do not break. In this case, you will have to use the following recommendations.
• Dig your way. If you have a pickaxe in your inventory, you can always dig your way out. The main thing is that the condition of the instrument is sufficient for this.
• Use explosives. Already in the early stages of the passage you will encounter looters, in whose pockets you will definitely find grenades and other explosives. They work well on building walls and soil, so it's worth a try.
• Use fast travel. The last way to get out of the textures is to teleport to the Altar of Flame or to the previously opened spire. If you've wandered far enough, it might be a shame to lose so much research experience. However, this is better than sitting in textures.

How to increase FPS on weak PCs

If you want to try out the new product on weak hardware, be prepared to face some difficulties. If your computer does not meet even the minimum system requirements, most likely you simply will not be able to play. Update your graphics drivers

First of all, update your graphics driver as this will help you get rid of various problems during gameplay. This can be done using the GeForce Experience (for NVIDIA video cards) and AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition (for AMD video cards) applications.
