The discoveries during season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen leave the viewer speechless. " Do you hear me, Sukuna? Here we go! I will once again establish the golden age of exorcism! ", these are Kenjaku 's last words before disappearing before the eyes of Yuji Itadori.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Who is Kenjaku, the scourge that sealed Gojo?

Kenjaku is an ancient being who made a pact with exorcists, transforming them into relics offered to humans. He is one of the main antagonists of Jujutsu Kaisen. Thanks to his spell which allows him to transplant his brain into different bodies, Kenjaku has already taken possession of different people. Among the humans he possessed was Noritoshi Kamo, considered one of the most evil-intentioned exorcists of his generation; or even Kaori Itadori, with whom he gave birth to Yuji. We learn during season 2 that Kenjaku now houses the body of Suguru Geto, Gojo's former best friend.


Kenjaku's power is due to his abilities, he can use Absolute Alteration, a technique that allows him to modify the very structure of things. He can also summon plagues and use them to sow chaos and confront his opponents. Additionally, Kenjaku can also use Yuji's mother's Anti-Gravity and Reversal Spell.

In the seasons that follow, the character of Kenjaku will have a key role in the story of Jujutsu Kaisen. Unfortunately for fans, we will have to wait until season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen to see Kenjaku in action again.


What is Jujutsu Kaisen?

Jujutsu Kaisen is a shōnen manga, written and drawn by Gege Akutami. It has been published in Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018. The animated series adaptation is produced by the MAPPA studio and has been broadcast since 2020. It was entitled to two seasons of around twenty episodes and 'an animated film that is a prequel to the main story.
