Coconuts in Disney Dreamlight Valley
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, each area that you unlock has its own resources in terms of flowers, gems, materials, but also ingredients, and more precisely fruits. The first biome you will discover while following the story is the Enchanted Beach, which will give you access to bananas and blueberries. But did you know that you can also grow coconuts there? To do this, you will need the help of a demigod, namely Maui of the Kingdom of Moana. Indeed, one of its friendship quests will give you the power to grow coconut trees on the beach, allowing you to harvest coconuts regularly and use them to recover energy or to cook the best desserts from Rémy. Without further ado, discover the steps necessary to grow coconuts on the Enchanted Beach of Disney Dreamlight Valley:
Step 1: Unblock Maui
To unlock Maui, start by unlocking the door to Moana's kingdom in the castle. It's the middle door on the ground floor, and you'll need 3000 Dreamlight to open it.
Then, you will have to complete the Moana kingdom quests for which you will find the guides on her character page, as well as the quest The Great Maui which you can consult on the Maui character page. This done, all you have to do is return to Maui to start the quest A Feast Fit for a Demigod.
Maui asks you to prepare three 3-star recipes. Depending on your progress, you should have access to a few recipes of this type, such as Fish Parmentier, Vegetarian Pasta, and Crispy Baked Cod with Cheese.
The three meals prepared, bring them to Maui and he will agree to settle in the village. All you have to do is place his cave in the water of the Enchanted Beach and build it in exchange for 5000 gold coins to be able to welcome Maui.
Step 2: Bury the Eel
It is this quest that will allow you to grow coconut trees in the valley. To obtain it, you will need to reach level 3 friendship with Maui. The latter offers to bring coconuts to the valley and to do this, you will have to catch an eel. To find out how to do this, you'll first need to talk to Goofy.
This teaches you how to make a trap to attract the eel, and here are the elements you will need to find to make it :
- 3 Worms: You will find worms in the big shiny holes around the ponds of the Quiet Meadow.
- 8 softwood: you will find softwood around the trees almost everywhere in the valley.
With the materials in your pocket, craft a trap at a crafting station and place it next to the Enchanted Beach pier, then return to Maui.
Once done, return to the pier, fish at the orange circle to catch an eel, and give it to Maui.
Return to the beach and bury the eel wherever you wish, then water the plant that has grown. You will have to repeat the operation several times before a coconut tree grows.
With the coconut tree in place, harvest a coconut and bring it to Maui to complete the quest. Coconut trees will now grow naturally on the Enchanted Beach!
