In Disney Dreamlight Valley, you will have access to different areas, each with their own resources and critters. If you want a hare as a companion, you will have to harvest some vegetables before approaching them. Find out how to tame this animal right here:
The different types of hares
The first area you discover in Disney Dreamlight Valley is the Esplanade, but if you complete your Dreamlight missions regularly, you will quickly have enough Dreamlight to unlock additional biomes. Each area has its own resources, such as wood, minerals, and plants, which you can use not only for crafting items but also for cooking. You will also be able to meet different critters depending on where you are, such as the sparrows of the Sunny Plateau which we spoke to you about recently, but also hares that you can find on the Sunny Plateau. There are 6 types of hares, but only 5 of them can be encountered in the game, the sixth hare being unlockable through the Path of the Stars pass. How to tame a hare
Once you have access to the Tranquil Meadow, you may come across the different hares listed above. The first thing to do to approach them is to bring their favorite food: vegetables. Although most will indulge in some lettuce, you'll need to harvest some carrots to really impress them. You can plant carrots and lettuce from the start of the adventure or buy them from Goofy's stand in the Tranquil Meadow.
Once you have harvested what you need, you can start approaching the hares. Similar to foxes that need to be chased, hares are playful and expect you to run after them. You can tame them quickly by following the instructions below:
- Follow the hare until it starts hopping in place
- Run after him when he runs away
- Repeat the operation two more times
- Come closer to interact with
- Give him a vegetable
Once this is done, the hare will give you a gift. Most often he will give you a bag of patterns, but he can occasionally give you a dreamy glow if you give him his favorite food. If you want to make the hare your companion, you will need to feed it several times to unlock it, then assign it to your character from the Companion tab of the Wardrobe menu.
