Where to buy counterfeit goods in Dragon's Dogma 2?

The counterfeit store is located at the Stopover Village in the Vermund region. This is the Ibrahim Bazaar, hidden below the staircase leading to the large house which overlooks the village.

To access Ibrahim's services, you will not need to complete any quest. All you have to do is go to the counter to place your order.

Should you buy or produce counterfeits?

In order to give you a quick answer, know that forgeries are not useful at all in Dragon's Dogma II. When ordering from Ibrahim, the only thing you will receive is a replica of the given item. Thus, the effects of the original object will not be found in the counterfeit.

To give you a few examples, we saw fit to reproduce a transstone: except that the false transstone does not allow teleportation to a portacrystal. Another example, we tried to reproduce quest badges or golden scarabs and the observation was the same: counterfeits are not useful and are very expensive to produce.

However, counterfeiting can be useful in certain cases, particularly when you need to deliver two copies of a single item. This is the case for the “ Jadeite Orb ” quest in particular. Two traveling merchants from the Stopover Village covet this precious object, but there is only one. So, to obtain two rewards and above all to remove this quest from your mission log, you will have to give the original to one of the merchants then the counterfeit to the other. This way, you will be able to validate your quest.

Apart from this scenario, the production of counterfeits is not at all useful. This is why we advise you to keep your gold coins because Ibrahim's talent is fallible.

However, Ibrahim is not only able to offer you counterfeits: his small shop will allow you to buy back items that you have accidentally sold or to buy odd items that cannot be found elsewhere.
