Dragon's Dogma 2 is now available and some players are bothered by the microtransactions offered. We return to the controversy.
Dragon's Dogma 2 was one of the most anticipated games at the start of the year and this title, which offers an incredible gaming experience, has been available since Friday, March 22 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
While the title has just been released, some players were shocked by Capcom's choice to offer microtransactions. We give you some additional details, but also if it is really necessary to buy its elements and if they give a direct advantage during your adventure.
Are Dragon's Dogma 2 microtransactions mandatory?
If, like many players, you are bothered by the microtransactions for Dragon's Dogma 2, well, you should know that they are in no way obligatory. In addition, they do not really offer any advantage apart from the fact that it facilitates the start of your game with in particular the Portacrystal and potentially the Awakening Stones.
However, it is good to remember that you can easily obtain several copies of Portacrystal, which allows you to place a teleport point on the map, by completing certain quests in the game. As for the Awakening Stones, you can get them by opening chests, but also buy them from certain merchants. As for other microtransactions:
- Harpy Baits: These can be purchased from in-game merchants, but also acquired by doing certain activities
- Rift Crystals: by opening chests, reactivating stones for Pawns, and completing certain missions
- The modification elements for your Pawn and your character, you just need to pay a certain amount in gold to the Hairdressers in the game
- Tents: you can collect them directly next to certain campfires, by opening chests, by exploring a little, or by purchasing from in-game merchants
