DRAGON'S DOGMA 2: THIS IS HOW YOU GET THE TRUE ENDING AND UNLOCK THE ENDGAME

Warning, spoiler alert! We can't discuss the various endings of Dragon's Dogma 2 without going into major spoilers for the story and the finale respectively. If you want to finish Capcom's new role-playing game without prior knowledge, you should return to this article later.

What are the three endings in Dragon's Dogma 2? The game's main quest line takes you to the final confrontation with the dragon that snatched your heart at the beginning of the adventure.

The dragon will hold in its claws the person with whom you have developed the greatest affinity. Now let's look at the three ways to complete Dragon's Dogma 2.

The three endings of Dragon's Dogma 2

The bad ending :

  • You leave the dragon with its victim and leave the area. The powerful creature asks you if you really want to leave. Confirm this selection.
  • A cutscene will play in which your hero sits on a throne and looks grumpy.

The normal ending:

  • You go up to the dragon with your hero and attack him. He lets go of his prey and accepts your challenge.
  • On the dragon's back, you then go to an island where the final battle awaits you.
  • Once you have defeated the dragon, you will see a cutscene showing the people cheering your hero in the throne room.

The True Ending:

  • While you fly to the island on the dragon, you have to hold on to it and then climb to its chest.
  • You can recognize the dragon's weak point by a glowing pulsation.
  • Open your inventory there and select the Empowered Godsbane Blade. Select the Apply to Self option.
  • You awakened and the dragon crash and you end up in a mysterious place: the Unmoored World. The true ending awaits you there, which brings with it the game's toughest challenges - the endgame, so to speak.
This is how you see all three endings in one run: Get the bad ending first. Then start your current save to tackle the standard ending. In the credits you don't go to the throne, you look for the scout. Talk to him until he takes you back in time. Now you can tackle the true ending.
